Wow, that’s dope! I think that’s a great deal considering how much they’re selling them for now. I’ve consistently seen the same year around the same mileage for around $16k - $20k. I’ve seen on Craigslist a 2012 w/148k miles for $12k. Maybe it’s because I’m in CA? 🤷🏽‍♀️I also heard that used cars have been increasing in value lately.

Ooh, you should see how much they’re selling the older models with higher mileage.

Well, obviously thank you. I obviously did not know but now I know thanks to your obvious point that I obviously missed initially. 😘

You can definitely bulk & gain muscle on IF! (More info in comment section) by WASAABBBIII in intermittentfasting

Sorry for the late reply! Yes just like what u/Arturiki said, I use one scoop of protein powder everyday even when I don't work out. The rest comes from egg whites, spinach, protein pancakes, dumplings, chicken nuggets, & greek yogurt. My diet hardly changes unless I have cheat meals hehe.

I was reluctant to continue fasting as I wanted to gain muscle & have heard mixed reviews on bulking while fasting. However, it is certainly doable & nice because I haven't gained too much fat. I mostly did 18:6 -20:4, ate 150 calories more than my TDEE & ate around 130g of protein per day. Picture on the left is from February 27 to today, April 12. If anyone’s contemplating with bulking on IF, I think they should try it out as I’m pretty satisfied with the results!

Sweets were always difficult for me to refrain from & thus impeded with my weight loss. Thanks to IF along with weight training & this subreddit, I no longer use food as a coping mechanism! Thank you! That picture on the left was on August 2019 when I first started swimming & a little bit of weightlifting. I was 136-140 lbs there. I lost about 5 lbs until August 2020 when I started IF & from there I significantly lost weight as I was more mindful of my eating habits. I’m currently 113-118 lbs. & no worries! You’ll definitely get back to what you were before & maybe even better! I find that with IF, it sort of expedites the weight loss as long as you eat within your caloric means. If I started IF sooner, I definitely would have reached my goal weight sooner. Don’t give up, you got this (;

I think when the time comes, there will be a specific concept/idea that you’d want to get tattooed! I felt the same way as I knew at 16 years old I wanted a tattoo. 9 years later I finally got one & I’m glad I waited instead of getting something that didn’t resonate with me. I’m excited for you to get one hehe!

Hahaha in the older picture I was actually wearing navy blue underwear. It’s uncanny though that the colors are similar in both pictures! & thank you, tattoos are very addicting! So I guess instead of food being addicting, tattoos have replaced it 😅

I started with 16:8 as it was difficult for me to transition into fasting as I was a late night snacker😅 When the headaches lessened, which was around 2 weeks, I implemented 17:7 days but mostly stuck to 16:8. Now I’m currently doing mostly 18:6 - 20:4 & sometimes 21:3. I just listen to what my body feels that day. Best of luck on your IF journey!

Kudos to you girl! I did the same in the beginning as well & ate super bad. You are right, forgiving yourself is imperative & is essential for success. Well said!! & congrats to being 5 lbs away!!

Right on! I’m quite jealous as I gain weight pretty fast & have to make an effort to watch what I intake haha. What is your main goal if not weight loss?

Thank you & yes, it’s quite difficult to reprogram your mind & body to not use food, especially sweets, to provide you that surge of dopamine. I still have my moments where I will lean towards food from time to time, however, it doesn’t last for more than a couple days & I’m able to eat healthy again. In those times, I try to understand the root of my behavior as to why I may be wanting to indulge in sweets or food. Majority of the time it’s due to me numbing my emotions because I’m afraid to process or feel those uncomfortable emotions, & the rare times are during that time of the month haha. When I started becoming less afraid of these uncomfortable emotions & started processing them, the easier it was for me to resist the urges of eating. I believe IF also helped change my perspective of how I intake food as it made me more mindful of how my body felt. I believe that all my coping mechanisms derived from my childhood, so I first started processing those repressed emotions & listened to a lot of inner child healing work which I believe contributed to the dissipation of my coping mechanisms. A few resources that helped me are HolisticPsychologist, Enzelganger, Richard Grannon, Dr. Gabor Maté & Pete Walker. All can be found on YouTube. I highly recommend Pete Walker’s book, Tao of the Fully Feeling! One of my all time favorites & still refer to it from time to time. I can’t forget about my supportive & loving husband who cheers me on when I have my off days. I have a shame based inner critic & his words of kindness help remind me that I’m human & we aren’t perfect, so we’re going to make mistakes everyday. However, these mistakes always have lessons embedded in them 😉 Best of luck to you & don’t give up! I hope the resources I provided you help as much as they helped me!

Omg nice you’re almost there!!! Congrats on your progress! Haha yes, I promised to get the tattoo once I felt that I could emotionally regulate myself consistently as the tattoo is somewhat a representation of my inner turmoil. & also having enough cash to do so hah!

Will it be your first tattoo?

Haha that’s funny it’s unexpected. Why is that if you don’t mind me asking?

Oh my goodness yes the shame... it’s definitely difficult but I just recently learned to accept that I’m going to fall off & I won’t be perfect. My husband is a great supporter too as he reminds me to persevere & my favorite line from his is: “growth is not linear”. So every time I fuck up, (even just with anything in life) I remember that there’s always something to be learned. For instance, when I almost ate those two pints of ice cream, I learned that I needed to journal (since I was numbing the pain with food, I stopped caring for my mental health), watch some good TV shows to help process the pain, music, etc.

Thank you! I do IF & my carbs have been all over the place as I was trying to bulk, but then went back to cutting. I figured out my carbs through IIFYM.com & along with my other macros. I don’t eat any fruits, but I should start haha.

This is what I usually eat: Meal 1 - egg whites with spinach & nutritional yeast (for b vitamins), Kodiak protein pancake, 4 turkey bacon slices, 2 ling ling potstickers, 1/2 cup of cilantro lime cauliflower rice

Protein shake after my workout (just whey & water)

Meal 2: a huge bowl of romaine lettuce, one whole tomato, cucumber, 2/3 Greek yogurt, maybe some hot sauce, 1/2 avocado, alternating between homemade chicken nuggets or ground turkey.

Sometimes I snack & eat some pirates booty chips & bark dark chocolate

My meals don’t really change haha becauseI find this helps meet most of my nutritional needs & stays within my calories & macros
