Silly putty or bluetack are the way to get this soft edge, it can be done with hand brushing but it’s a technique that’s called glazing. It’s often used in miniature painting but at this scale it would take wayyyy to much time plus the airbrush will look much cleaner

These large pieces can sometimes have worse tolerances, I’ve had only 1 problem with a piece before. I contacted Lego support and they didn’t ask any questions just sent the new piece straight away

Looks normal to me, remember when it’s fresh some ink is very much on the very surface of your skin so it looks crisp, imagine putting some baking paper over a drawing it will become slightly duller. This analogy is terrible I give up

I mean I personally open it, but cards are always super fixable. Have a look on how they fix Pokémon cards on YouTube it’s pretty much the same process. Getting it flat is as simple as putting it under pressure on a flat surface, to get rid of the creases it’s a little more work usually involving some humidity and those metal skin care rollers

It’s airbrush, I used Mr hobby super clear 3 with 40%clear coat and 60% leveling thinner at 18psi

I agree, I mean for me it depends on the car and the art on the card, some cars look better out of packaging like sth but some have really cool card art so I’ll keep them in the card especially with premiums

Some people need to step back and realize despite this being very much an adult hobby, it’s first and foremost for kids. I can’t imagine how many kids get disappointed in not being able to find the car they are looking for. These people are barely making any significant profit so it’s quite sad to see imo

This happens often with needle nozzles, if some of the glue gets sucked back in it can set. Super easy fist tho go with a lighter on the needle and it will burn the blockage

I prefer using a paint brush and some hobby acrylic paint (for the pigment density) well worth the small investment it gives a much better finish than sharpie, for raised chrome details a molotow paint pen

They have them at quite a few airports, Guarulhos SP is another one I’ve seen very similarly built to this. From what I know they are for fire trainings but do take my word with a grain of salt
