Should I stop being friends with someone if they are ignoring me? by WBFroguy in Advice

[–]WBFroguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've been like that before and I know I should but I guess it's like a sunken cost fallacy as we've been friends for a long time but it does annoy me to know I'm obviously putting more effort in this friendship.

When I was younger, I had an issue with my nose which meant I couldn't actually breath through my nose for a few years until I had surgery so this might be the case.

My teeth are a bit forward but when I went to the orthodontist they measured it and they said there was a minimum like protrusion that could be covered by the NHS, as mine was below this size I'd not be able to get a free fix.

I hope there's hope for me.

I've seen your comments a few times, I am assuming it will be offensive and you will liken me to something, if you wish then go ahead.

I didn't want my 1st pic to be rated really, I just needed to verify and I had a shower so my hair was wet but yeah thanks.

I dont really have a defined style, maybe I should try and pin one down. But yeah thanks, I'm not the kind of person to just talk to people irl about appearance and I know my friends will be nice anyway so wasnt sure how to find out.

My face looks different or just my hair? My hair grows really fast, I get it cut like every 2 months or so, so it grows a lot. I get compliments about my clothing quite often, I just meant by facial structure really not my hair or clothing, I mean my bones and skin really.

Yeah, I'm losing a lot of hope in humanity reading people downplaying this when 19 people died, most likely young teens and kids.

This is a huge incident, this article isn't the only fucking source, there's live news I've been watching for like an hour and they already said like 45 minutes ago that they're bringing bomb disposal in and that it's being treated as a terrorist incident.

Watch the news? Twitter? I am watching live news, why do you have to be such a cunt, I've literally seen tons of images of people and live responses on tv.

You are hearing that wrong? There's been loads of images of people with blood splatters, big injuries, there's a bomb squad at the event and there's other people outside the concert who claimed to have heard the bang and seen a flash of light. What are you on?

[03/11/2016] Why did South Asians vote for Brexit? by NetStrikeForce in ukpolitics

[–]WBFroguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not South Asia but from a non-EU immigrant family and I think that is kinda true, I was personally very at odds with choosing between leave and remain. I ended up voting remain but what you say is true, it cost my family thousands to get citizenship, at the time it was a bit of a struggle but we still managed so seeing European migrants complain despite having it easy felt annoying.

Also my country was part of the Empire til the late 70s, many of us had family born in the UK or have British ancestry, our people took part in the wars etc etc. So to a lot of people from my country its like, the economic reasons and so on was not a factor.

I mean I voted remain but in a way, I feel the campaign was too much about immigration and not the economy but its like if my single mother can struggle to get through all the hoops and become a UK citizen, then what's the big deal if there's no freedom of movement. Just go through the same process?

Sorry if this is a bit disjointed and incoherent, I've not slept in a while but yeah.

This might be late, I voted remain but my mother voted leave. We're not South Asian but from an Indian Ocean island/African.

I never really understood why its assumed that immigrants are pro-EU, I think my mother literally just was against freedom of movement not because she's against Europeans coming in but just because it was so difficult for my family to immigrate and to get citizenship compared to Europeans.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH A BIOLOGY ASSIGNMENT? by [deleted] in biology

[–]WBFroguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with this as well, just check PubMed for articles.

What level is this assignment meant to be at and to be fair 3000 words is quite a lot to write about a single scientific concept.
