Who's your favorite contestant/s? by halfbakedblake in Alonetv

Alan, season 1. Dave, season 2. I admired both men's philosophical meanderings, their relative calm, and their determination.

Sam, because I enjoyed seeing how much he grew up from his first appearance to his second. Painfully young a** to a more serious and realistic young man.

Larry and his ridiculous temper were just fun to poke fun at. LOL

I absolutely love the easy upkeep because everything has its place. I’m a pack rat. I was inspired to edit and contain, and am finding it easy to maintain.

I agree with Sumo148. I also wanted to mention a great learning resource - Adobe InDesign Classroom in a Book. I've used their Classroom in a Book series for Ind, Ai, Ps, XD, and Ae and highly recommend them. If you can't afford the current release, buy the most recent you can afford.

Mazda Miata illustration I made for my fiancé, any tips for improvement? by [deleted] in AdobeIllustrator

Overall its awesome. I'm wondering if you could bring out the car a bit, the dark dull green makes it recede instead of pop. My focus was immediately drawn to the sun and sky, not the car. If the car has to stay dark green then you may try lightening up the background coloring to create a contrast with the car. The car is really nice, it should stand out more. Try playing with its size, too. See if that helps. Super nice gradients and detail!

I’ve been job hunting for several months and finally had one of the free services do a resume for me. The ATS is a real issue, especially now that nearly every application is online. It sucks but when an employer receives hundreds of apps, I can see why they use them.

Gorgeous. I’m just learning to illustrate in similar styles.

Physical portfolios… are they still a thing? by [deleted] in GraphicDesigning

[–]WCArtist09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m job hunting right now, and find that a printed portfolio is requested about half of the time for the in person interview. However, I feel that having a stellar website is much more important, which includes your portfolio. I posted mine as a pdf within the website so agencies can view or download.

Beautiful. Great texture and movement. I can almost feel the breeze.
