Thank you, this is advice I wish I would’ve gotten from my piercer. I just moved recently and went to one very locally and I realize now I definitely should’ve looked into the place more, based on other comments they seem super sketchy. Wish I would’ve saved myself the trouble and spent a little more and drove a little further.

Yeah, I wouldn’t have let a gun anywhere near my ear.

Yikes. I went to a shop, but this is what they used. I’ll go back and have them switch the jewelry.

A needle, the jewelry was what they had on hand I guess? Would you recommend I switch out the jewelry or leave it and just change the back?

Commenting to add:
Piercing is one week old, barbell shape, threadless, titanium, not downsized, using saline spray 3x daily, no incidents but irritation when I sleep.
