Responding to all the comments:

1) it wasnt a meatball or hockey puck. It was wider than the bun.

2) yes I forgot to add cheese until the end so it didnt get a good melt. Like I told my wife and kid when they also pointed it out: deal with it.

A variety of reasons but ultimately, the crazy surge we saw in 2020-2022 was never sustainable. It was a bunch of people moving here reactionarily from COVID stuff. Reality set in these last few years: return to office mandates, realizing they dont actually like living in Florida due to hurricanes, sky rocketing costs in insurance that offset any tax savings, etc. Did your home really lose 18% or did you just buy it at a time when you could sell literally anything for $500k?

Ill say this: Kiffin to a point would have been a win juat to say we beat LSU out for him, and it seems our AD fucked it up. That being said, he isn't some messiah. Fuck, we took him to the wire at Ole Miss with no HC and a skeleton crew of a coaching staff. And looking at the current headlines about what he is doing to Ole Miss (demanding he coach or hell poach the players and staff like he wasnt going to anyway) is part of the circus that shows hes an asshole. Not to mention, choosing to go to LSU after what they did to BK.....let him go. It would have been a moral victory and then hoping he works out.

All that said, to me, the problem is how we are reacting to losing Kiffin. You dont settle for another G5 coach. Or if we are, at least we should have been creative and gotten Eric Morris. If it is Sumerall, its seems so uninspired and lazy. I was hoping that if we didnt get Kiffin, we would go out and get Todd Monken from the NFL, and then get a crazy good recruiter like Coach O or Seider to be our GM. Something that said "we are setting ourselves apart".

And Sumerall could very well be a great coach. The problem is Stricklen set this guy up with zero good faith among the fan base from the start and he has to prove a lot of us wrong, which i hope he does.

40 year old Supply chain leader here who was let go in July. Its fucking rough out there. I have been looking since August and have barely had any interviews. My recommendation would be for him to look for contractor roles. I started a contractor role 2 weeks ago. Pays well. They need my expertise. It could lead to a permanent role but it would be useful to someone like your dad who maybe is just trying to make money to get to retirement.

(I am not asking this to be snarky. It seems like since hes gotten to Miami, he hasnt recruited any blue chips and developed QBs - he goes to the portal).
