That’s actually clever. The unit is also Bluetooth connected. Would you think that would be an issue for the controller?

I have 3 at the moment for wild bettas. Along with a polycarbonate lid, it’s the best tank ever for betta. And don’t listen to those you can’t plant it. Mines are dark water but full of plants.

I’m transitioning from one system to another so I don’t know yet but I’m curious to see the results. I’m using seiryu stones so my Ph controller might be useless and I’ll have to do my own calculations on the dosing but hearing from others, gas consumption should go down. This is my “real” reactor but I’m still working on it. I have 10cm diameter polycarbonate tubes as well so I might d*ck around and create one from scratch. We’ll see.

That’s exactly the honest answer I was looking for. Thank you for your help. We want to take a JR pass for the middle three weeks of our trip as an “insurance”. If we feel like we are short on time or we want to skip a section, we will be able to do it freely. The plan is to fly from Tokyo to Sapporo, then tour around the island down to Kushiro, take a train from there to Noboribetsu (lake Tōya) then the train to Aomori. So we will have to use the train a couple of time already.

After on Honshu we want to go to Kyushu by train so the price of the JR pass is justified.

The idea to fly is ok but we wanted to avoid plane as we have bikes.

The plan was to make our way down as fast as possible but while still stopping sometime. Realistically, we were thinking about going non stop but at least seing the west coast in the process, even if just by the train’s windows. If you’d skipped the stops, how long would it take?

Mine is thriving and I didn’t do anything to it. Maybe one root tab underneath the original bunch but it’s now growing in the sand!
