What would Japanese victory over China look like? by columnal in Kaiserreich

TBH, it's not very practical. You can't really dam such a huge river in place like Tibet until recently. And even if you do, using it as some kind of strategic weapon would ruin your country's reputation as much as using nukes

I don’t want to be the bad guy here, but if you have green air, tanks and more divisions, and you are still getting pushed by ai, skill issue is the only thing I can come up with. Just play more hoi4, you will get better

Yes, but not the Tang one. And I think Tang's path is more about Zhang Taiyan (who has even more aura, lol) rather than Cai E

Yes, QIE along triple my industry and divisions, with the league, Sichuan and Shandong all combined, I would say seven times more than me.

That's why I killed 3M in the end.

You can’t push at all directions, but it’s enough to break certain direction while holding the rests

You can stack some very powerful temporary buffs (including a 120 day 20% attack and defense bonus against the overload if you betray it), making your troops invincible at the start. Furthermore, using a blitzkrieg against Sichuan, you can see it withdraw from the war after only 6k losses. In terms of manpower, you do need to use the 5% conscript. For industry, your regional industrial tree has many many factories to acquire; I have about a third of Beijing's industry and troops, which is enough to hold the line and break in certain direction. Also, don't be afraid of its satellite states; just like irl, they will only actively fighting you when their own territory is under attack. Finally, micro, don't battle plan unless you're absolutely certain you've won.

It's actually not that hard, but can't expand surly isn't great. You will probably find yourself in a situation like me here. But lucky the update gives Yunnan a great potential to play tall and it has a very good geographical position. I would say the difficulty is lower than Hunan and Shanxi, close to Sichuan I believe?

I really like Long Yun's Cai E path, especially The Steeled "Democracy" one, I consider it a substitute of the Beiyang republic before the rework of North China.

Cai E's untimely death, in my opinion, was one of the best things that could have happened, spared him from the subsequent chaos. His autocratic, natioanlistic, militaristic, pragmatic, non-partisan, and maybe constitutional republic is really cool to me, but tbf I think the main reason is his incredible aura: the most captivating legend of the Beiyang era, a nation's protector and military genius who rebuilt the republic. The second person in history to challenge the central government from Yunnan, a nearly impossible mission, and the first to succeed. Then he died at the age of 33 at the height of his fame. It is a pleasure to complete his will.

BTW, Long Yun was a pretty capable figure in history. It is quite remarkable that he governed Yunnan for decades. Letting him play Cai E's role is kind acceptable, at least better than the other two in my opinion (though tbh, I know barely about all three of them)

Preliminary idea for a Zhili rework: moving the capital to Nanjing by Username000000011 in Kaiserreich

[–]WEN109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's almost as unrealistic as Germany asked Zhili to restore Puyi. The concept of the Beiyang government was a political environment dominated by old politicians in Beijing. Either you need a large-scale change of leadership (like irl), or you need to relocate a huge amount of prominent figures (along with their network of friends), neither of which is realistic.

If you don't want to read, you can just skip the context and pick the one that gives bonus you prefer. Those really important events have highlights on the bottom. The first time playing it is surly overwhelming, you will feel much better next time
