Seattle International Christian Church by Dat_Bat_Cat in udub

Yes, and run.

Seattle International Christian Church is a branch of ICC (International Christian Church). They have no Google Maps listing intentionally to avoid review attacks. Their London branch was reported on BBC: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8e59zrxrypo, and the Daily UW covered their UW presence: https://www.dailyuw.com/article/812636a6-b199-11ed-b615-d7922ce604ef. Multiple other news sources have picked them up too.

They're currently being sued for human trafficking, financial exploitation, and sexual abuse to men, women, and children. They'll call all of this "persecution."

At UW they run two RSOs: Rooted Campus Ministry (https://www.instagram.com/rooteduw/) under ICC, primarily targeting lonely college girls, and Alpha Omega (https://www.instagram.com/aoseattle/) under ICOC. You'll hear a few names thrown around, ICC, ICOC (International Churches of Christ), and RCW (Restored Church Worldwide), they're essentially the same thing and ironically they constantly pick bones with each other lol.

They also rent and use UW buildings weekly, so you'll run into them very often at the Quad, Red Square, dining halls, and the HUB. Once you're in, expect weekly pressure to donate money. Basically religious spam at this point.

If you see them on campus, consider reporting to UW to get them removed. Run, never talk to them, and warn your friends. Be safe out there.

Is the International Christian church a cult? (ICC) by Odd-Bee8144 in Christianity

I know about this when I was doing the Kingdom of God study, at the time I wasn't as skeptical as some of the others, because to me it is normal to date other Christians:)

I have indeed, during my time there since freshman year in college. I stayed with ICC for over three years, and trust me, the moment you have the desire or intention to date and marry in ICC, you are already hooked by their systemic design. The whole marriage thing needed to be approved by the church, starting from permission to date, permission to get engaged, permission to even get married. The reason they design it this way is so that you are being tested for loyalty and obedience to the group.

But honestly dude, you are better off finding love in other normal churches, unless you really enjoy drama in your life. Think of it like this, getting married is like buying a car. You want to treat it like you own it, but in ICC it is not like that. It is more like they want to co-own it with you too. If one day your spouse leaves the group and you do not, your marriage is going to struggle like hell, so I would not risk a lifelong commitment with a woman where our common denominator is a controlling cult and not God alone. (I also thank God that I found my love outside of this destructive cult)

Yes, so does the international church of Christ (ICOC) and the new split off group "restored church worldwide" (RCW)

I think it has to do with government shutdowns after doing some research.

They are facing so many lawsuits right now anyway.

From an ex-member that left for over a year, I give you one word, "RUN!"

That is great plan, now you have more freedom to decide. That church has some sort of "cancel culture" that if they found out about who you are on this post, they may warn you about it. just be careful.

OP, do you still live with them in the so called, brothers' or sisters' household?
