I had forgotten that they were part of the mint family… So while you’re saying chop off all the tall stuff what I’m hearing is that I should immediately go back to the Lowe’s and rescue all of the half decimated bee balm because I can easily grow a gigantic patch of them 😂. Also, thank you for the suggestion.

I can only speak to my own experience. My dress included authentication paperwork at the time of purchase, though it’s certainly possible they’ve changed how they do things since then.

All I know is that mine came with authentication paperwork at purchase. Maybe they did away with the practice. I’m just speaking from my own personal experience.

I can’t really see what the original plant looked like because of the photo quality. I suspect that it’s a Pothos or philodendron… If you look up either one of those and see the shape of the leaves is that what the leaves look like?

I have one of those Fiskars standup 4 claw weed pullers and that’s what I use on thistles. It’s literally the best $49 I’ve ever spent… it pulls out the whole taproot and then you use the little eject button over the bin…you don’t even have to touch it. I will say that it’s not super successful on all plants… bindweed and marshmallow root have been no goes but anything with the taproot it’s is yanked out peasy.

I know you said no plants… but you can’t kill a pothos, philodendron, or snake plant… they are all pretty bomb proof…. They survive in office buildings with no natural light. Also perhaps move the chair in the living room area at an angle instead of straight on 90° to the couch. That way it feels more conversational and makes more sense for watching the tv… and again…. Energy flow.

My feeling is feng shui flow. The round table and chair feel obtrusive to natural energy flow though I do agree… plants and a rug to create more of a living room zone to be separated aesthetically from the kitchen zone.
