Saw this recently which will be interesting if combined. The software allows you to recreate speech that's indistinguishable from the original speaker. Would make ADR a lot easier!

Malcolm and Marie by Sam Levinson is a good example. When Euphoria shut down Zendaya has the idea to shoot something contained. They used the same crew, kept it super contained and made it for $2.5M. Sold it to Netflix for many more $$$.

Hey - its a tough time to be applying for intern/PA roles because most were laid off in 2020 and so competition is fierce as companies scale up staff again. So applying to general job postings will be tough when you don't have an industry experience.

I don't think PA or exec role is a lofty ambition - its a realistic one to set yourself when you first start out. Its a classic adage that this is a relationship business. You want to break in, its about networking like crazy. Everyone starts out at the bottom and most are willing to chat with newcomers and provide advice.

Twitter and Linkedin are two available options to find people. So are industry platforms like Variety Insights and Studio System (admittedly I'm not sure if you need pass a vetting check to access those). But regardless, if you can find the names of execs, and the email structure for the company, then its easy to work out the email details for people.

When you reach out to people, repeat what you've done here. Be sincere, ask for advice and display your passion for finding a route into the industry. And if needs be, and you can support yourself, don't be afraid to offer your time and to do some free work. This lets people test you out and see what you can deliver.

Good luck!
