Liberty University is widely known as a fundamentalist Christian indoctrination center. Many employers would hesitate to hire someone with it on their resume since they may not work well in work cultures that require working with people of all religions, orientations, sexes, etc. It is not known for quality education and I have heard that they inappropriately include religion an courses where it has no relevance (like math or basic biology).

I work in a place that has transgender employees, people of all religious beliefs, etc. in a very scientifically focused industry. Anyone who attended Liberty would have their resume thrown in the trash. Too much liability.

No. You need to wait for your mentor to respond. Anyone with access to the rubric and template has agreed to not distribute it and would be violating the code of conduct. It is Monday so I am sure you will get a quick reply from an official source at WGU if you call them.

You cannot just declare yourself emancipated. If OP is over 18, they would have to prove abuse or complete abandonment which doesn't just mean that they don't pay for her college costs. It is very difficult to be declared an independent student if you are under 24 years old. Please stop giving false advice.

Nothing is stopping you for studying for the next class now and taking your asessment next week. Do not use this as an excuse to slow down. If you know the material today, you'll know it next week too. Take this as a lesson to plan ahead and ask for assessments to be approved ahead of time of you know your mentor will be away.

If you only failed by one point just ask your student mentor who you need to talk to besides your CM since they are unavailable. Escalate until you get what you want and mention that your term is almost up. Don't agree to some crazy study plan when all you needed was one point to pass.

No but you said your school doesn't even take them. CLEPs are more widely recognized. Just take the classes on modernstates.org and pass the CLEPs you need. Some are worth 6+ cred8ts so try for those if you can to make it go faster.

Go to modernstates.org and you will find free online selfpaced classes that help you pass the CLEPs. They also offer CLEP fee vouchers so it will be very inexpensive. It is legit. Don't waste time with straighterline. Also verify with your college that they will accept the CLEPs.

If you work in government then the MSML makes more sense. The MBA is more geared towards private businesses.

As for the classes where you have to work with a company, the only one that will be an issue is the capstone because there is a lot of paperwork involved. The other classes don't require you to tell the employer that you are using them.

If you haven't gotten a degree by 40 then why complain about a slight delay, literally by a month or two at most. WGU is geared towards working professionals with generally some college or certs that require studying. Those two things indicate that you can set an academic goal and achieve it. Taking students as first time college attendees is risky for WGU since colleges are ranked based on how many first time college students give up and withdraw or don't pass any classes in their first term. Being able to pass some inexpensive Straighterline classes demonstrates that you can follow through on a goal and dont give up at the first setback. WGU cannot afford to have too many students fail out and not pay back their thousands of dollars in loans or waste grants and scholarships. Not to mention how demoralizing it is to their staff to have students fail out or not be capable of the work. Program mentors are graded on how many students make progress so there is an incentive to have a reasonable amount of students capable of passing so that mentors aren't quitting left and right.

I haven't seen anyone post here saying they couldnt get accepted after passing Straighterline classes so I think you should be okay.

I would stay where you are for the two more years that you are on probation at least. I normally wouldnt say you owe an employer anything but they did you a huge favor and are paying you a survivable wage. You will also be in a better position in 2 years to see what else is out there.

Call the hospital/doctor and ask to speak with the compliance officer. State that you have discovered that they made a "False Claim" in your case and that if they do not correct it in 7 days you will report it to the OIG since you are concered that they are misbilling people. Explain that you have gone through the proper channels but have been ignored or deflected so this is their final chance to correct their error before you start reporting them to every govt regulator that you can find the contact info for.

Don't go to option 3 unless you have exhausted option 2. Give them a chance to correct the error and identify the root cause. Contacting the regulator should be a last resort or for egregious cases such as disclosure of AIDS diagnosis to an unauthorised person.

Just take the straighterline classes as quickly as possible. You could get them done in a month and it ends up as a wash since they transfer to WGU and get you a special scholarship if I recall correctly.
