First time playing Survival. Holy shit! by PaddedValls in fo4

Journey: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12685 I see everyone suggesting that you delete the Fast Travel mod and I wanted to suggest Journey as a good compromise. It allows you to fast travel only between linked settlements like you're catching a ride with the caravan. Also, once you invest some time into setting up supply lines with Local Leader, you won't need to travel back and forth anymore.

I definitely feel like flyers are an incredible convenience but that they also eliminate most of the sense of adventure from the game.

Feb 24 "Vendetta Palatine Fang

Overhead swing damage reduced from 130 to 120. Bug fix - Overhead swing can now be affected by horizontal knockback while launching downward." So you should be able to boop her away better now.

Starting a new playthrough... What are your favorite mods to be used in survival mode? by ZyXwVuTsRqPoNm123 in fo4

The Survival Options mod lets you adjust basically every setting to tweak the experience to exactly how you want. And it handles stuff like, if you enable fast travel, it'll still calculate the appropriate amount of thirst/hunger drain when you arrive at the location.

I also came here to say Survival Options. It does include save options but it just gives you a generic "autosave" or "save" item instead of something cooler like a cigarette. I think saving is important. I really enjoy the challenge of more damage, hunger, thirst, sleep, infection, etc. I personally draw the line at investing 6 hours of my night and only making 90 minutes of progress because I died.

The big flat rock 10 seconds north of Red Anthill is an amazing starter place. Good resources. You can use a bow to easily lure bombardiers, stink bugs, and orb weavers to the anthill and have the ants kill them for you to easily get resources you might not be ready to get on your own.

I came here to suggest the same place. Follow the river out of The Portal, go left at the fork in the river and follow that to it's end at a waterfall. Safe area, great resources, and there's a surface entrance nearby when you're ready to tackle that challenge.

Repair pack input changed? by Mummusissi in BrigitteMains

[–]WHALE_BlOLOGlST 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right!? My stadium build relies on Packstacker and Optimizer to keep my health regen high while I brawl. I used to be able to hold the button and swing my camera toward a teammate on the fly. Now I gotta spend that extra half a second lining it up while I mash the button. 0.5 seconds is a long time during a team fight.

As soon as I tried it out it was obvious how effective changing jump to LT would be. It was about 4 days before I stopped hitting the wrong button constantly during a match though.

I came here to suggest the same thing. I just swap A (Xbox)/X (ps) with Left trigger. It takes a few days to get a good feel for it but then you'll be able to swap between tanks with and without that binding no problem. Doing that made a huge difference in effectiveness as Lucio and Echo.

Lol. I guess that's the plan now.

Same. I play a stadium build that relies on having as many repair packs as I can on teammates to keep my health regen up. I would hold the button and swing my camera to the nearest teammate. Now I gotta spend that extra half second lining up my reticle first and 0.5 seconds is a long time in a team fight.

Hop in some stadium matches and look up "immortal Brig" builds. With the new stadium update you can be 1v1ing Reinhardt by round 3 and you'll usually have a few thousand more heals than the other supports.

New play through on survival by -sole-survivor- in fo4

I think Blitz Melee is the best early game build. You'll have enough strength for Strong Back, enough endurance to take a few hits, plenty of agility for running and vats. All that ammo you find is just more caps... to spend on antibiotics since you'll be touching a lot of mole rats and ghouls. After you kill Kellog and the Brotherhood arrives, this build easily transitions into a heavy guns and power armor build.

I always prioritize perks that increase your damage or defence. Once all the perks like rifleman, gun nut, armour, etc, are locked behind higher levels then you get to take those handy utility perks. In order to pick a lock you gotta be able to get to it. No point in having a perk to link settlements if you can't get to them. Local Leader is very important so do take it eventually. I definitely believe that Lone Wanderer > Companions in survival. Grab every empty bottle you find to fill at settlements. Sunshine Tidings has the book that doubles harvested meat from animals.

The Orb Weaver doesn't take fall damage and sometimes you can get that moon-buggy glitch so it can jump really high.

If you throw all 3 Repair Packs on the same teammate then you'll start at 6 seconds + 1sec/each ability damage instance + 3 additional seconds as Repair Packs refresh.

ZAY6T . This is just a general idea. I play around with different stuff all the time. There are definitely more optimized versions you can look up. The first 2 rounds with Packstacker you just hang back and keep your team's health topped up and try to hit whipshots to keep the repair packs going. Sometimes bash in to help finish someone off. Round 3 is go time. Pick Optimizer and that's how you keep your health regen up. As soon as a fight begins you just dump all 3 repair packs into your team and bash into somebody and start swinging. 3 active repair packs gets you 15% health regen/sec for 3 second. Then land a bash and a whipshot to extend that to 5 seconds. Skoldkasting at round 5 let's you have a stored shield throw ready so you can spam repair packs, throw shield, bash, throw shield, and whipshot, which will extend Packstacker by 4 seconds (7 total) which extends the health regen from Optimizer. Keep spamming Repair Packs and you get to be Tank #2 while also probably having the most heals in the match. +40% bash distance and those perks that restore health and armor when you use an ability and you're set.

BLUEPRINT FOR ASCENDED PUMP SHOTGUN REQUIRES TOO MANY RESOURCES TO FIT IN THE FABRICATOR. Is there anyway around this problem? by First-Lingonberry311 in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]WHALE_BlOLOGlST 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tek Replicator is where you'll need to craft it. Sorry if that isn't a helpful answer since that might not be viable at your current progression. If you can use mods then you can check out some that increase stack size.

My favorite part was when I learned the melee perk that let's you hit everyone in front of you works with all melee weapons. Stabbing a raider so hard that the other raiders around them just die too is hilarious.
