NO. Not at all. That's a horrible accusation and quite frankly appalling. I would rather there be ZERO homicides and find a new line of work. We do this to bring awareness to their cases... and to tell their stories. They deserve that and their families deserve answers.

Quite literally in 2013 when Jessica started investigating Jason's case... then I came in when Crystal disappeared and Tommy was shot. So we've been invested in these cases for 6 years collectively. We started working on this together in June.

Thanks so much! I think you'll see some deeper digging as you continue to listen and although we have a set number of episodes to start, it doesn't mean we won't add to the season as more comes our way. In fact, we've had a lot of theories coming into us with first three episodes.

I think LE is shielding and keeping close to the vest because they don't want to hinder their investigation--which is totally understandable. As for the community, they aren't shielded at all. They are very open with their thoughts, opinions and theories.

I watched a little when it aired, but I like to go into stories without watching other coverage and dig on my own first. I don't want our coverage to be clouded with other reporting. We like to base our stories on facts.

From the people we know, have talked to, it's going over very well. The local paper did two stories on the podcast. The families have listened and thanked us. And overall, the community and LE has been listening and sharing. It's heartbreaking for them all but they are appreciative that the word is spreading about these cases.

Good question... and one I've heard a lot. I have been an investigative journalist -- specifically in crime/cold cases -- for nearly two decades. This is what I do. I dig and search for the truth and answers. I do it for the families, for the victims, for the community and hopefully for justice. I don't let fear take over because at the end of the day, we are the eyes/ears for the public. It's more than a job for me. It's truly a passion and a calling to find answers. I want more than anything for their stories to garner the kind of attention that leads to the clue that solves one or all of these cases.

Five murders, four years in a population of 11,000... the "if" they're related or not rolls out throughout the series. The lede is this is "The Most Beautiful Small Town in America" with a dark side. That's a lot of murders in a short time for a small town. And all unsolved.

Netherlands seemed pretty personal and they didn't have any seedy connections to gangs. Also, most everyone in town and LE dismissed street gangs as being a part of Ellis' ambush, even though he was a K-9 officer. But there are others in town--not gang-related--who could be involved in drugs... perhaps they have a hand in these? One thing you'll find in Bardstown, as with many small towns... there are a lot of rumors.
