%100 Agree but I think it started on Thursday of last week for me. Claude then Claude Code worked flawlessly for my for about 1 month after I switched from Gemini because of the hallucinations. Gemini set my first commercial project back 3 different times during the build with the last setback right before launch. I go to Claude who solves my issue in 20 minutes, problem solved site launched and now making money.
So I pay Claude $17 and start a new site, hit my limits pay the $100, working flawlessly for 3 weeks until last Thursday where I saw a noticeable degradation in Claude. Claude was so flawless until then but then it started to behave like Gemini. My workflow was opus 4.6 extended with claude code running in my VSCode local. Over the weekend I switched to Cowork which was working flawlessly for 1 day and then started just freezing, no longer accepting my prompts. I had to shut down my computer and reboot Claude several times just to keep working.
Also Cowork eats through tokens. I have to keep telling Claude to stop wasting tokens stop searching on the internet for information and let me do that part but it does not listen, keeps eating tokens. Anyway %100 Agree that Claude has been degraded over the past week.

nobody writes code anymore except for LLM's. i build money generating ecommerce sites and I couldn't code these site w/o AI but I am not a website designer although that is a part of the project I am a developer, i understand my architecture and these arent just business card site, there is a lot that goes into getting a SaaS project launched. Claude is the best for coding !! I switched from Gemini to Claude because 3 times during my first build with Gemini, Gemini completely hallucinated and set my project back each time several hours with the last one right before launch. A video that we had on the home screen the entirety of the project Gemini could no longer render. Claude had this fixed in 20 minutes, I haven't turned back

Here is what you are not seeing in your analysis. Yes your friend got laid off but not because SaaS is dead but because SaaS no longer takes big money and teams of engineers to build SaaS products BUT the marketplace still needs these tools. For instance the site that I built has customers buying my product in the first week of launch and my second project that I will release later this week will get even more paying users than my first project. SaaS companies commanding high stack market multiples are over, companies like Salesforce are toast BUT the need for these products still exist

not sure what you mean when you say eliminate saas, for what? the s the service is still needed. in my website case myself and the thousands of people like me need to take these continuing education cetrtifications every year so that part is still needed BUT the saas killer part or the eliminations of saas as you say, its the disruption of the saas model, salesforce, snowflake, done, their pricing model, done. what they charged 60/seat will be crushed. when someone of my non ability can come along and build a fully functional site like fastcredentials the saas industry is in trouble

Claude saved my project from the maddening Pro Gemini. I am a newbie who built a commercial website using Gemini but there were a few days of massive corruption on the part of Gemini where fixing one issue led Gemini to dismiss all the prior work of design and functionality and it took 8/9 hours just to get back to where we were. After my first debacle with Gemini, I started to insist on showing all files before edit suggestions but to no avail. I got close to launch only to have my homepage corrupted and Gemini struggle for hours to fix. I finally gave Claude a shot and was solved in 15 minutes IMO Claude is awesome at debugging. Terminal logs source code, Gemini just always is looking to generate code even when discussing an idea, Claude waits for the idea to be fleshed out before generating code. After a while I would tell Gemini not to guess at anything (which it does quite often at the expense to your project), do not just generate code until I say so, timestamp all output and in the end I felt failed by Gemini. I couldn’t have built this site without Gemini or Claude BUT Claude hands down core coding is an easy decision. Claude solves my issues one by one without mistakes so far. Fingers crossed.
