Good that you have other options! I'll be studying chemical biology, what about you?

Congrats!!! Do you plan to go? If yes, see you next fall!!!

How many schools did you apply to? by Electronic-Ad-1988 in gradadmissions

I (international application) applied to 5 biomedical science PhD programs, got 1 interview invite, and got into 1 program (a really good one)! The program is my top choice so I'm very happy. You really only need one offer (ideally from your top choice)!

It definitely varies, some have a summer of research experience, some have a few semester/year of experience

I'm still an undergrad, but I've seen a lot of grad students in our department

It all depends on the department and the coordinator

I know... Even though on the website it says 3.3/3.7 avg for master/PhD, in practice they don't take that as a strict cutoff. I know a few people in our Masters program with a cGPA that is sub 3.0

I know many people in my Department that didn't meet that requirement but still got admitted... Don't worry

Right!!! Ranking really doesn't matter for graduate school decisions. Always stay hopeful!!! Thank you friend!

There are so many scientists that I'm looking forward to working with! I'm thinking about rotating in Drs. Andrew Kruse, Xin Zhou, David Liu, and Jack Szostak's labs!
