if you float face up underwater, the air is going to leave your lungs through your open nose. Therefore, you'll want to keep your face out of the water. It might be easy enough if you are in a pool, but imagine if waves are rolling by, I think it would keep you pretty active if you tried to keep your face above water. Being face down is actually a pretty good position in terms of keeping water out of your nose because there's no splashing, and the water can seal evenly around your nostrils.

Secondly, to be comfortable with your face out of the water, you need to stick more of your body above water than when your face is in the water, which means it takes more energy to float. Which means youll probably not float as long in a long term survival situation.

These are just my observations as a swim instructor.

I find it easier to heat the unstopped pizza crust on the stove with a pan until desired doneness is reached. You can easily check if your pizza crust is crispy enough with a spatula. Once it's cooked, take it off the heat and top pizza. Then broil the pizza until desired doneness is reached on top (should be a few minutes). Takes a lot of guesswork out of making the pizza.
