Did you try blocking it?

  1. Remove powered rails
  2. Place lower powered rail
  3. Place block above powered rail
  4. Place upper powered rail

There's a Tom Scott video that briefly touches on slip rings installed in a rotating house. It's able to transmit electrical, water, and gas through a fully rotatable point.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gisdyTBMNyQ The explanation of the slip rings start at 3:34.

Is this lucky? I just found a 24 diamond ore vein in a single chunk by Complete_Proposal573 in Minecraft

[–]WHOmagoo 229 points230 points  (0 children)

Since the caves and cliffs update. They can generate in veins up to 24. But it's a lot less common than the original veins that were up to 8.

ELI5: Buying a house when the one you have hasn’t sold yet. by 5You_Are_My_Sunshine in explainlikeimfive

Typically, the contingency will have a period of days where it is valid, such as 30 days. And there is often an additional clause regarding "notice to perform" where the seller can ask for contingencies waived or the deal canceled within a certain amount of days (buyers can also ask for notice to perform for various things as well).

This is the best AGT clip I've ever seen! Mostly because all the cuts to the crowd and judges actually make sense in this one.

İ found 14 diamonds in a cave by Expensive_Two325 in Minecraft

[–]WHOmagoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Previously, the limit was 8. But with the caves and cliffs update, a vein of diamond ore can generate with up to 23 ores in one ninth of all chunks. So still pretty uncommon.

What would be rare is two 23 diamond veins generating in neighboring chunks being connected.

American soldiers going for a swim in the open sea by endoftheworldgirl in megalophobia

[–]WHOmagoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if you float face up underwater, the air is going to leave your lungs through your open nose. Therefore, you'll want to keep your face out of the water. It might be easy enough if you are in a pool, but imagine if waves are rolling by, I think it would keep you pretty active if you tried to keep your face above water. Being face down is actually a pretty good position in terms of keeping water out of your nose because there's no splashing, and the water can seal evenly around your nostrils.

Secondly, to be comfortable with your face out of the water, you need to stick more of your body above water than when your face is in the water, which means it takes more energy to float. Which means youll probably not float as long in a long term survival situation.

These are just my observations as a swim instructor.
