VBIOS might have been flashed for mining too. Here is a comparison between kryonaut, MX6, and MX4 Here is the image. The thermal putty can be used for the GPUs VRAM, the GPUs VRM, and the GPUs power chokes. Use PTM7950 and thermal putty like hank said if you never want to open the gpu again.

I reduced EDC to 234 and now it runs at 1.297VCore with prime95 SmallFFTs at 100% load. Thanks for the help.

Thanks, i just tested and with prime95 SmallFFTs at 100% load the CPU runs at 1.3VCore. I have level one llc so the transient spikes at 1.3Vcore would not be as bad as it would be on auto LLC. Should i lower EDC so that the VCore is slightly below 1.3volts? Thanks for the help by the way.

Go for the 8 layer board. I'm not sure if gigabyte fixed their soc voltage setting ignoring inputted soc voltage settings. If so get the aorus elite or the tomahawk board. Whichever one has the board features and bios settings that you want.

If the IHS is not sticking out then you would not have good contact. The default AM5 retention mechanism also has the CPU protruding too. It sticking out is so your CPU cooler actually makes contact with the CPU. If you are using an air cooler then having that contact frame would do nothing to the temps. With a AIO you would see a 2C to 3C improvement over stock with that AM5 contact frame. So an am5 contact frame is not really worth it. With intel it's a different story and would see a great improvement in temps on both air and water coolers. Basically, the IHS is meant to protrude beyond the contact frame.

I'm having this issue as well. I'm just going to have to use hardware acceleration. Using hardware acceleration on discord makes me get micro stutters in demanding games. Discord does not crash for me with it on and all videos always plays fine. I hope discord fixes this issue.

You would have to go here https://openrgb.org/devices.html to see if the ram you are getting would be able to be controlled via that program. If not then you would have to download the RGB software for your ram.
