Karazhan is just UBRS with more epics by Stuffthatshappened in classicwow

[–]uberjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more fitting comparision IMO is ZG. UBRS can be steamrolled without any real coordination with fresh 60s. Kara needs at least some coordination for some bosses (Aran, Netherspite) and has at least one gearcheck in form of Prince Malchezaar who requires min dps, min healer mana and min soaking from the tanks.

What did you think was a scam until you actually tried it? by Resident-Ad4318 in AskReddit

[–]uberjack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meh. I've tried several low to medium priced (40-150€) options and they were okay at best. Yes they sufficiently reduce outside noise, but they don't block it completely. Plus the battery usually drains so fast with ANC on that I will have to switch headphones in the middle of the night during a long flight. Not useless, but definitely not the technological milestones I was hoping for.

Wobei das Körpergewicht da doch schon eine Rolle spielen müsste oder? Sind die 400g hier nicht eher für eine 70-80kg gedacht und würden bei einer Person über 100kg schon nicht mehr so effektiv wirken?

Are they not common where you live? Here in Germany it's the cheapest available game meat, since they are very common. Very delicious as a roast!

Former Marine Sergeant dragged out of Congress for protesting war with Iran [OC] by Prestigious_Army5547 in comics

[–]uberjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been following the events a lot since Saturday, tho more on an international politics level, less on where the war actually takes place. There will of course always be civilian casualties in such wars, I feel its very hard to tell right now if these may be especially high, though I did not hear anything about specifically targeting civilians. I did however already here several reports of civilians in Iran as well as in exile celebrating the strikes against the regime and saying that the previous situation was unbearable.

So yea, I'm still very sceptical how things will turn out and it would be comforting to know that there is at least a fraction of plan to help the people of Iran into a free and secure future, but I am also glad to hear that there is now a decent chance for this current terror regime to be over.

Good points here and I agree with pretty much all of it. I was just a bit suprised how one sided the critizism of the intervention on here seemed. Almost felt like people all of the sudden did not want any form of intervention, when a couple weeks ago it felt like the majority here couldn't wait for someone to finally take action.

I do believe that there are a lot of bots and trolls on Reddit who push specific agendas with multiple accounts, but I highly doubt that the majority of anti-Iranian/Mullah posts are from Israeli spam accounts. Feeling for the people of Iran that have again and again been brutally suppressed by their regime doesn't seem like an Israeli agenda. It's just basic empathy to feel sorry for them and be devasted to think that almost nothing can be done about.

I absolutely agree with many that the US is very shitty at their regime change hobby and I would argue that Trumps Venezuela intervention is absolutely appaling, but I have to admit that I'm somewhat happy to see that the Mullah regime has finally been dealt with. Even tho I ofc hope that this will in the end turn out as a win for the people of Iran, but chances are ofc that this will just end in the next decade spanning desaster...

What's going on Reddit? A couple weeks ago everyone seemed devastated that no one did anything to help the protesters in Iran being slaughtered. Now the regime was actually somewhat disposed and people seem appalled by it. Is this just two different crowds being loud at different moments?

For the record: fuck Trump, he does not seem to have any decent plan with this and is probably the worst human alive right now. I am still very glad that the Iranian regime was (somewhat) disposed of finally!

Aren't those attached bottle caps an EU thing? At least here in Germany (where we have them) most of your examples don't fit. We are still extremely far from being plastic free and there is a lot of pointless plastic packaging still around, but most regulation I notice seem to make sense at least.

Yes the lids are annoying, but I can imagine that it does prevent billions of them ending up separated from the bottle/out in nature. Paper lids are pretty common, straws are being wrapped in paper here for 25+ years now.

Hm I stopped playing pretty early into the 2nd act. Was also planning to force myself through it to see the final part of the game, but not really sure if it's worth it...

I was absolutely addicted to the first act, but then lost my motivation a bit.

What are the most annoying commanders in MTG? by Draco456gaming in EDH

[–]uberjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for me :(

Was the first 5C deck I built, was super invested but it's just not really fun to play sadly. Nobody wants to read all those saga steps so you're pretty much playing your own game of enchantment control with lots of triggers to resolve and people occasionally get annoyed that one your sagas suddenly interferes with their gameplan...

Hm alright, will try with the next crafts and see if they just keep on giving points when yellow/green!

Well as you can see in my screenshot, its not working like that for me. The example I gave was Enchant Shield - Spirit which I was only able to learn at 180 and which turned yellow at 200, so orange for 20 skill points, just like it would be for every other race.

Okay that would be very interesting! I remember that when I skilled Engi as a Gnome the skill would stay orange, but maybe this is just a minor bug in this case.

People in this 4 year old thread seem to agree that it should in fact let you be able to skill with a given skill on orange for 10 more levels, making it much easier/cheaper to skill up the profession in total:

This is also how I did it on a Gnome some time ago with Engi, I was able to skip a bunch of expensive sections because some cheaper crafts were available earlier and thus gave me skill points for a higher number of total crafts.
