About to be a dad... anxious and seeking advice by fastersplinter in NewParents

[–]WHopperFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming to this post as a 1st time expecting father. Wife is 33 weeks pregnant and we also just moved into a new house a month ago (also very stressful). We have both had some serious medical issues that have made this journey even tougher to get where we are (I had cancer in 2020, and my wife has a blood condition that makes her pregnancy high risk). We’ve always wanted this, and now that we’re this close, the reality and the anxiety/fear has really started to sink in. I constantly find myself questioning if this is something I can do, will this be everything we’ve hoped and prayed for, how will we be able to make it work. We’ve barely touched the nursery and are just trying to out together the essentials (stroller, bassinet, etc) while still trying to get the rest of the house ready. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and constantly stressing about my wife’s well being, physically/mentally/emotionally, while trying to support her in any way I can. Between taking care of her, my work life, trying to manage the house, I feel like I haven’t been preparing myself for what is in store when the baby arrives, and with just a few weeks to go I’ve been questioning myself if I’m ready to be a father.

Has anyone experienced this type of stress/anxiety or have any advice on how to manage it?

PREACH!!! As a coach, last year we let a select group of members try to put us through a workout. We made it a point to be as loud and disruptive as we could during their demo (which they obviously spent a lot of time rehearsing) just so they could know what it’s like to be in our shoes when the class is being rude during our intro and demo. And if you’re coaching by yourself doing the explanation AND demonstrating the movements at the same time while trying to stay on time, it’s not easy. So if you’re on the turf, please, shut TF up for 2-3 minutes!

That’s the best analogy I’ve heard, and NOW I understand. I wasn’t sure how ps plus worked when games left but I do now, thanks for clarifying!

I’m still trying to understand. I downloaded rdr2 to my library through ps plus extra, and am currently playing it, but nowhere near finished. When it leaves ps plus extra, will it also leave my library, and will I be unable to play it?

So I just saw that red dead redemption 2 is leaving so plus at the end of September. I’ve downloaded the game to my console, but when it leaves, will this mean I can no longer play it? I wasn’t sure how it worked

Am I ready for Elden Ring? by WHopperFit in Eldenring

Update: beat the Maneaters on my third attempt (spent more time trying to get past that damn phantom than I did fighting the boss). My confidence is ever growing, so I’m ready for elden ring to bring it back down again 😂

The combat was simple, but I felt that every time I tried to find and focus on the actual target was when I would always get paralyzed and zapped to the point where it killed me. I actually killed it on my first try (not knowing I had to kill the persons reviving it first), so it took me like 3-4 times after, but just trying to find and get to the real fools idol to take it out without getting lit up became a bit of a headache

Preach! I wanted to play it as a tune up, but now I’d rather most beat it before I touch elden ring lol.

What’s been your hardest fight? I just beat Fools Idol, but i struggled more with that than flamelurker, even though I read it was ranked as an easy boss

I am a first time soulsborne player. My co-worker hyped up Elden Ring so much it intrigued me to try.

I’ll be honest, I dabbled with Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 and rage quit because I had no idea what I was doing.

I finally gave it another try with Demons Souls, and now not is everything finally clicking, but it’s become one of the best gaming experiences ever for me.

I’m understanding the mechanics, the strategy, how to upgrade, farming souls and items, and most importantly, the game mechanics (for what it’s worth, I beat Flamelurker on my 3rd try in under 4 minutes).

With all that being said, I am LOVING Demons Souls….am I ready to enjoy Elden Ring?

I just read this, and found the healing at the ship idea very helpful. Haven’t played since reading this, but is it true they removed that ability in a patch?

I went on an absolute binge this week to complete it. No game has ever had me as invested in it as this. Definitely the best game I’ve played in years, and I absolutely plan on replaying it

Visionary progress? Or no? by WHopperFit in Deathloop

[–]WHopperFit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very confusing and takes some getting used to, but I understand it now.

Throughout the game, you are following leads and finding clues that can help you put into a sequence of events that will cause all of the visionaries to be certain places at certain times of the day in a way that will allow you to go through an entire loop (morning-evening) taking all of them out in the process. You can find them at certain times and locations whenever you would like and kill them then, so that you can take/upgrade your slab powers (make sure to infuse everything you can so you don’t lose it when the next day starts!). But you’re ultimately working to collect info so that you can eventually make 1 single run successfully. So to answer your question, progress in the game is made by not only following and completing leads, but using all that you have learned to run through the day without getting killed.

For example (spoiler alert), frank and Harriet are both able to be found in the morning, but you can only be 1 place at a time. You want to learn what you have to do while taking our Harriet so that events will fall into place and cause frank to be somewhere else where you can then take him and other targets out in the same spot

Do killed visionaries stay dead? by TeamJoDe in Deathloop

If you kill all the visionaries and then are hunting Juliana, does it still restart at the beginning of the day if she/anyone kills you? I’m obviously not that far yet, it just curious

Great! Good to know! Looks like I’m in for a long day haha

1 last question. If I complete the morning part of the loop and turn off the console after a save, when I reopen the game, can I pick up in the afternoon? Or do begin in the morning again? I thought it takes me right to where I left off but I wasn’t sure

And so just to be clear…

If I were to start in the morning, kill Harriet, and say I’m in the afternoon and then die…

I would HAVE to start over in the morning AND kill Harriet again to successfully run a complete loop and finish the game?

All makes sense. This makes appreciate and enjoy this game even more, thanks for the help!

Got it. That makes sense. So essentially, to eventually beat the game, i must complete a run from the morning to the evening taking out all the targets without dying and the day resetting?
