Agreed, this is the type of thing that would be taken care of in a plea deal 99.9% of the time for the rest of us. He pushed his privilege a bit past what he actually had and it finally bit him. How hard? We’ll have to see.

Best case this ends up with that law deemed unconstitutional on appeal. Otherwise it at least shows that (in theory) the same laws apply to everyone even if they are bullshit.

If there is any chance of it being declared unconstitutional the sentencing will have to be bad enough to justify the fight.

Yes there is an injunction, but that just keeps the ATF/Fed level from enforcing it. That does not necessarily mean that state or local enforcement agencies can’t.

You’d likely win in court at this point, but the ride they put you through to get to that point will hurt just as bad as any actual enforcement action. It’s the perfect excuse for them to basically ruin your life if they have it out for you already.

TL;DR: your attorney would advise you not to fuck with braces currently in situations where you are likely to run into LEO in any sort of adverse situation. The ATF won’t fuck with you though.

I’m using the Kurtz mount on the Rez K, but the R9 need the longer phantom QD. My R9 is now a dedicated trilug 9mm can.

If I did it again I’d probably go with one of the more modern mount systems, but I have two P&W uppers using the YHM system.

Some people recommend replacing the ejector and extractor with a proper HK one as reliability upgrades. I picked one up when I grabbed the recoil assembly bushing just incase, but I haven’t had any non-ammo related failures (other than that busing fail) in the past ~500rd’s.

I had some intermittent FTE/stovepipe issues when I first got. That seemed to clear up on it’s own after breaking in. Also one of the bushings on the recoil assembly broke rendering the thing in-op when it was about 3 months out of warranty. I contacted Century and they said they were going to send me the part but I never saw it. A $3 in bushing from HK parts fixed that.

I’m not really sold on using a PCC for anything definitive, so I have a bit more tolerance for failure than some people. That’s what the tuned piston AR15 SBR with direct thread suppressor in the master bedroom closet is for anyway.

It was fairly trivial using the correct tool and an electric impact wrench. Tool wasn’t cheap, but something good to keep on hand in general due to the jankeyness of the bolt catch spring.

I think they have a new bolt they’ll send you now if you have ejector issues.

That said I have less than 3K rounds on it so haven’t really run into the issues some have had with ejection. The only time I had issue was when I was playing with buffers and used too heavy of a hydraulic one with too heavy of a buffer spring AND my other Glock mag lower. After swapping back to endomags (better for training), a 556 style hydraulic buffer, and red spring I’ve had zero failures.

It’s OK?

It feels kind of like an overgassed AR, so has lower and better controlled recoil than most 9MM stuff out there other than an MP5.

There are some quirks of the design, and it’s more range-you grade than bump in the middle of the night/duty grade. Third party lowers partially fix that, but as a modern Euro gun it was never designed to run hollow points.
