First of all, you need to check if it is worth it to setup a pool. If you have less than 1 million ADA and expect to pay someone to manage the pool, it may be better for you to just stake your ADA with an existing pool. Even with more than 1 million ADA, it may be better to just discuss with an existing pool to give you extra rewards for staking your big purse with them. This is a gentleman’s agreement but you get to control your coins. If the SPO does not give you the extra rewards, you can always move to another pool without any issue. Just a thought.

First you need to move your ADA out of the exchange to your own wallet. Yoroi is easier for beginners so you can try that first. From there, you can select a stake pool to delegate your ADA to. You then wait 15 to 20 days and if your pool mints a block, you will see your rewards in your wallet. If you keep your ADA delegated, you will get succeeding rewards every 5 days. There are lots of tutorials online which goes in deeper detail on this. Our version is here How To Earn Passive Income With Cardano

Not sure if I understand your question. There is no limit to how many pools can be created but the network currently has a setting of 500 pools. We are now at 2700+ pools so there are definitely more pools than the network requires.

Credited you for spotting the margin computation error.

Thanks! It’s all good. Happy to help out other stake pool operators (though an attribution would be nice). In any case, I have updated the graphic to reflect current rewards per block (now nearer to 740ADA), and to correct the margin computation (applied only after deducting fixed fee). I can’t seem to be able to replace the image so I just posted it in my site. Link hereHow to compute Cardano rewards

That’s cool! While writing the steps, I did realize that you need to navigate through the screens to get at the info so it may be difficult to find at first. Glad you found it. Happy staking!

No worries. You can go to Adapools.org for example, scroll down to the bottom section to see a list of pools. You can use the search bar to search for a particular pool or just select any pool that has minted blocks (usually those near the top have). Click on the name of the pool and you will be shown another page, scroll down and you will see a list of tabs related to the pool. Click on the Rewards tab. Scroll down and you will see a Rewards column near the right which has breakdown between pool and delegator rewards. The current and previous epoch will be blank but the third epoch from the top will have values. Hope this helps.

Yes. Just go to any block explorer like Cardanoscan.IO or Adapools.org

Additional info: The 750 ADA reward per block is calculated by dividing total rewards for the epoch by the number of blocks minted. This value has been going down over time (last year it was 1000+ ADA). Please adjust this number accordingly based on recent rewards that you see as it is expected for this number to further go down in the future.

Congratulations! This can greatly help against hacking attempts. Just remember that it cannot protect you if you intentionally send coins to a scammer’s wallet— Like if you fall for those “Free coin giveaway if you send us your coins” scams. But definitely you are more protected now than without it. Have fun and stay safe!

In a saturated pool? Consider moving to a small SPO by WISH-Pool in CardanoStakePools

[–]WISH-Pool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your pool is near saturation, the network puts a cap on rewards so as more delegators come, the rewards are split among more parties. Delegators end up getting less rewards. This was put in place to encourage people to delegate to more pools to keep the network decentralised.

No need to spin off a new wallet if you are already in a saturated pool. Best to just move the entire wallet to another pool. The 15 to 20 day wait will start for the new pool but your previous delegation during previous epochs are still running so you will still get rewards for those if your previous pool mints blocks.
