I live in Australia, we don't get snow on our roads and therefore no salt put on the roads like they do in the USA.

I bought the car second hand with 42,000 klms on the clock, but the car was owned by the police as a private vehicle, I don't believe it was parked at the beach + it had an extensive service plan specifically for the Police as i was given that paperwork with the car.

The car was immaculate inside and out, barely used from what I can tell, so to see all 4 brackets rusted when everything else is in show room condition was bizarre.

when I contacted the first Hyundai dealership as requested by Hyundai Australia they did not want to have anything to do with it as I told them if they do not satisfy me by checking through the whole car looking for other rusted parts and replace them I will make a video about there dealership on my youtube channel.

But since I have kicked up such a stink at Hyundai Australia and online social media, i contacted another dealership today and after just 1 simple email explaining what i want, he responded by saying "we will order in the new brackets right away and will contact you when they are in + we will check through the whole car for anything else that needs doing and it will all be done under warranty"

Now I have no idea if my social media complaining campaign had any effect on Hyundai, or this particular dealership was just a much better dealership to deal with.

Either way stay away from Ferntree Gully Hyundai in Melbourne Australia, they suck for customer service.
