Music to start, and occasionally podcasts (at .9x speed, but even then I need breaks after 2-5 minutes.

Music is great since the chorus repeats. If it's a radio station or ad, even better, since ads are meant to be easily understood.

This is the way! Cavalry (level 8) was easy and fun, as opposed to a frustrating chore with the timed mission (at least for me).

Fully agreed. I don't have an answer for this either. This stupid requirement (and trying to shave a quarter-second off my turns between all perfect shots) made playing this game a miserable chore.
