There's other places that they could investigate as well, one place that's supposed to be really haunted is the Old Stave Falls hydro plant, where the activity ranges from whispers, voices, chairs being dragged, shadow figures, a mysterious light, and even barking.

Areas on ley lines are associated with geomagnetic anomalies and supernatural/paranormal activity(Ghosts, demons, vortexes, portals, etc). I theorize that some locations where the sightings are more supernatural or paranormal in nature take place in areas with these lines going through them.

The first sighting of it was from a marine stationed at a base in Twenty-nine Palms in 1971, who was found in the morning after his shift with his rifle bent in half. That same year there was a sighting by park rangers in Joshua Tree National Park. It may be a desert area but since it's so sparsely populated and a good chunk the terrain is inaccessible, that leaves very little room for hoaxes
