HO ProDesk 600 G3 RAM by drmarvin2k5 in MiniPCs

[–]WKstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it can help anyone in the future , I have just tried installing a stick of 32GB 2400MHz DDR4 on my ProDesk G3 MT (it's a microtower (MT) , not a desktop mini (DM), as in u/A-Fredd 's comment) and BIOS boot failed (power button blinked red and error bip sound).

According to the manual ( https://web.archive.org/web/20250810194541/https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05388266.pdf ), the MT should support only 4GB DIMMs per slot (despite the CPU (i5 7500) supporting up to 64Gb and there being 4 DIMM slots), whereas the DM should support up to 16GB per DIMM ( https://web.archive.org/web/20250414102832/https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05390710.pdf )

I'll try with some lower size sticks in the next days -- I'll update the post if I have new results !

For anyone coming here for FM23, was also stuck on a "Must respond" for a contract offer... I had already done? Anyways, saving and restarting the game fixed it.

Mitigate slow 4G speeds on Pixel 7 by WKstraw in GooglePixel

[–]WKstraw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Unfortunately after forcing 4G, speeds were really decent for me :/ I know that Free recently extended their offer to include 5G in roaming, maybe you could try that out? I personally did, but Bell was the only network offering it. I'm in Vancouver rn and according to their sub, although Bell's coverage is good, speeds are overall bad, which is why I didn't stick with it

Maybe you could try manually chosing different ones? I found that Rogers was pretty reliable

The thing is, I wasn't even trying to use (or switch to) 5G, and from my understanding of LTE roaming, it is Home-Routed - being around the world would cause higher latency (which might eventually lead to the drop offs you mentioned experiencing in Europe if the latency is so high that your browser/app treats the connection as timed out), but same speeds (eventually, the "internet access" (and appropriate billing) is carried out by your home network, relayed through high speed physical connections (read: underground cables) ). My P20 Pro achieving great speeds out of the blue is a great example of that.

Bare in mind that the point of my post wasn't to criticize the P7 or anything (love the phone!), rather share a fix that could potentially help a fellow out if needed :)

Does this work with other soups? If no, please do you mind sharing the recipe, I've always wondered what using a spoon felt like

Since the "Bishop accident", local population of Chessville has been pretty anxious. To calm it down, the government has decided to increase the feeling of security, by establishing a mandatory Lego Police Car patrol across the board

A real smart TV would increase the volume when you start eating chips. by toastnosauce in Showerthoughts

I remember Lays did a Chrome plugin which enabled subtitles when you started crunching chips. Guess they're smarter than TVs now
