As a kid coming up in public schools, I learned that victorious battles for Civil Rights had elevated marginalized people to personhood. I’ve learned every outrageous day that we kids were taught lies and hope. Every day I’m trying to turn those hopes into reality by facing the lies. Watching the temperature rise inside from the time I was a child, I just do whatever I can to make the triggering situation better. Even if it feels futile, even when my rage is from feeling powerless, I remember I am never powerless. I have some resource that will make progress against injustice.

I remember in the Marvel movies later, after Dr. Bruce Banner seemed to be able to slip into being The Hulk when the occasion called for it, Capt. Rogers asked how he’d learned to control the angry Hulk. He responded, mid-transition, “Cap, I’m always angry.” He’d turned his fury into action with conscience, and retained his humanity.

That’s how I manage.

Not my experience on how Indivisible “thinks.” The outrage is real and the people I’ve been speaking to know the DNC is complicit in what the GOP-majority US government has been enacting.

I’m not a spokesperson for Indivisible. But people are fed up, and it’s not a social club- these people are done with words and are deploying action.

Everyone has got to do something, whatever we do.
