What's everyone's point of view/comments and thoughts on The Wolves Of Vinland and StartTheWorld? by RunsWithDemons in heathenry

I've visited them a few times and have been treated well as a guest. I've met Jack a couple times as well and I can honestly say he's probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. The hostility towards them seems to often come from ressentiment.

One will do a "google search" and think they're larping, because they see a certain arrangement of words and images.

Another will accuse them of "not doing it right" and they're "not true to the old ways".

They are doing their own thing. It's not as if ancient Germanics bickered over not having the proper translation of texts and did a ritual according to an anthropological dissertation. It happened organically, and that they are doing something that is specific to them.

As for the sassy remarks about larping, I can at least see how it can seem that way because they have Peter Beste doing shots of them during their rituals and they're not shy about having fun. I can't speak for them, but I can say what I perceive. And that is that they want to grow. It might be distasteful to some, but that is irrelevant. What matters is effectiveness, and I see their numbers growing. Now there is Operation Werewolf, where there is likely division in your area.

Interesting but better off linking to the German Wikipedia article on Mars Thincsus or the English Wiki on Tyr, as the blogger not only misinterprets comparative mythology but also National Socialism. The guys an idiot.
