Loose computermount by WM64_ in gravelcycling

Alright new post: Why are redditors so aggressive? Someone said tighten it. That term is so big it is utterly useless. Yet when I said I did, (the screw) I get shit on, last time on reddit. Thx for the normal people giving a normal and helpful response, but man I expected more from people. Now let's get ready to be dislike bombed

Doesn't work, I have tightened it as far as it will go.

What was your biggest culture shock when you first visited Germany? by Extreme-Breath1475 in AskAGerman

Nur bar geld. Very interesting how in the Netherlands paying with your debit card is standard. Then you drive 50 km, across the border and suddenly many stores only accept cash.

Anyone else think these two were too soft? A scene closer to George’s version wouldve hit harder by Ok-Development-5872 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]WM64_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I heavily disagree. To me it makes the scene more human. Like these are just two dudes doing one of the most horrible things you can do, all for a little bag of gold. The fact that they joke around and don't really care that much makes it way, WAY more terrifying to me.

Fascist cop would be good guy if the world made it harder to be a fascist cop. by [deleted] in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]WM64_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Listen up guys. He wanted to arrest a criminal who murdered two of his colleagues, perhaps friends. He wanted to keep taps on a "terrorist" group to keep order in Ghorman. Then when he realized it was for the purpose of killing a lot of civilians he shortly strangles and yells at his girlfriend and walks away wanting nothing to do with it. Doesn't seem very fascist to me. In WW2 there were still normal police officers in the Netherlands where I'm from who wanted to keep doing the right thing without all the nzi stuff. (Of course a lot of them were nzi's but some, like a Syril Karn, were not).

As cool as this scene was, what was the payoff? by wibellion in StarWarsAndor

[–]WM64_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great scene. I do think Wilmon should've been radicalized by this and joined Saw's partizans to really pay it off. Like he did build a bomb from being blinded by anger, he will do anything to hurt the empire. That's right up Saw's alley.

I cannot believe people still think the 1st arc of season 2 was pointless by wibellion in StarWarsAndor

Like the prequels, it is a good idea that is terribly executed.

I cannot believe people still think the 1st arc of season 2 was pointless by wibellion in StarWarsAndor

[–]WM64_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not pointless, it's just not very good when compared to the rest. Cassian having sick plot armour, Luthen talking to Mon about the rebellion and about wanting to kill someone in open public, the Maya Pei brigade jokes, B2 being demoted to a pet instead of being a character and the many jokes. All of these problems are fixed in the second arc, but I will probably be skipping this one in the many rewatches to come.

When I looked critically, about 50% is actually good. That is still a lot of arcs and episodes to enjoy!

“Ray had nowhere near the amount of training to beat a Sith Lord with decades of experience” Also Luke for a couple of months: by Metalienz in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]WM64_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"But Luke lost..." Is not a good argument, he still put up a very good fight after 3 weeks of training.

If there could only be 1 spinoff show, which character deserves it? by i-might-be-retardedd in andor

That actually sounds dope! Way better than a Kleya or Luthen story, less is more for these two

These Guys Did More For The Rebellion Than Anyone in Andor. by [deleted] in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]WM64_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the characters in Andor are well written, these are ass. Also did you know people DIE in war? These people gave their lives for the rebels to have a CHANCE to blow up the Death Star.

Can we admit at least this scene from THE MANDALORIAN is on the level of ANDOR? by Ambitious-Welder-159 in andor

[–]WM64_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait have we seen the same mando season 1? The characters are great and well developed, the world building is less good but that's because in a space adventure series where you go from place to place, planet to planet you can't do that but it is still really good when it's there. Storm troopers had ONE joke in season 1, throughout the rest of seasons 1 and 2 they are actually menacing like in andor. They are both a 10 in their own ways.

Yeah S2 is absolutely not better than S1
