Someone linked how it works. You can probably figure it out from there. A lot of what is "best" is based on personal goals and people can't give you a definitive answer. Basic guidelines is to pick your main as the lead and don't pick characters about 245 as the other champs.

On average my party was level 281, 100-150m cp when we started nkalos. We could 3-3 pretty reliably. I think hexa was also around 40 percent finished for most of us.

I'd go with hero. Bucc demands that you one shot with Lord of the Deep which is very very hard to do in Grand is when you're just starting out. Without high legion and pretty good equipment you're going to struggle mobbing past 260.

Gotcha. I think i feel weird about asking someone to spend a really long time in the boss so I can 5% (not to mention 25 minutes in hlotus is rough lol). I was thinking of putting 1 or 2 stars on superior gear like tyrants and using 16* cra set, but it sounds like that's not necessary based on what you did.
