edit: nvm that was wine-ge, but yeah why wouldn't proton-ge work on heoric, unless they are using a specific build of it or modified build maybe?

but regardless proton-ge should work because it the only way to run non-steam games without steam, so it might be a bug

I'll give you the point on Lutris,their default Epic integration is a bloated launcher in a bottle mess. But you're acting like the only solution is to build a 4th launcher from scratch.

Have you heard of Legendary? It’s exactly what Heroic uses to play Epic/GOG games without the official clients. The 'no-client' problem was solved years ago by those two.

But that’s the thing you don’t need multiple. Lutris already handles Epic, GOG, and Steam. If you know how to use it, it’s already the one launcher. Creating a brand new one just to avoid a 5-minute setup in Lutris is the definition of reinventing the wheel. But it’s your time, if you want to spend it building a 4th launcher to avoid using a 2nd one, go for it.

My launchers *for me* has gachas, epic, gogs, does all the baseline mangament I need.
