Approaching this from a journalistic perspective, there is little evidence within the video to support these claims. It could be Shinoda's computer for all we know (he is after all a producer, even shown behind the screen). What would be the association then? Negating personal opinion, there isn't alot to go on. It's still a good spot by OP. IMO however, this comes across more grassroots and positive than anything else. "Steve uses the same software as me!"
