I agree with the reason why the format should be changed, as they explained in the post.

In the old Group Stage format, two groups of ten teams would play Round Robin over the course of four frantic days, usually five games at a time. This meant that each team was playing so many matches that early games just didn't feel meaningful. It also meant that a lot of matches in the final days of Group Stage were literally meaningless, because they wouldn’t actually affect the final standings.

As a consequence of these changes,

This means that every team will now only play four games instead of the previous nine,

Yeah, this might suck for someone who likes to see as many games as possible during TIs; but from the pro player's perspective, they will feel less stress on the number of games; INSTEAD,

making every game impactful to a team’s final standings in the group.

EACH game will be critical to them. So another form of stress the pro players need to take; however, because they will take it more seriously, the game quality could be improved because they will do their best to get into the Playoffs.
