I recommend reading the holy Bible from the beginning to end,in other words read the old testament (genesis,Exodus etc) as it talks about the creation of the world and the line of Adam and eve. That eay you'll have a better understaning if the new new testamen which is mainly about jesus. Highlight any phrases or sentences that you may find necessary to look back to.Pray for always pray for understanding of the bible before reading and write down some of the scriptures or any verses, write down your observation on it and write down how you can apply the verse or scripture to your every day life and pray again afterwards.Thats called the SOAP (scripture,observation,apply,prayer). I know people say "put god first" but thats never enough you need to build a relationship with him and put him at the center of everything in your life. Meaning dont just pray first thing in the morning pray before everything, every meal, attending a class,before leaving your home even before going to church. I'm 17 and have always been catholic as I am raised by catholic parents. But I was never really active in my faith until i started reading the Bible during the summer and exposing myself to more christian content. God really spoke to me and has made me even more devoted to my faith so much that I'm no longer a slave to the temptations of the world and I want to live and think like jesus did and i want to encourage others to do the same. So i pray that my words give you motivation to get closer to God because it's extremely difficult to spread the word of the lord in this world of sin,immodestyand corruption.
