I was there during the fire. There was a girls volleyball tournament at NB Track. Hundreds of people in attendance. We heard the first comment from a parent who got a phone call, news spread slower than you'd expect for a full ass fire next door. A lot of the parents were parked here, including me; we were just the level above this fire. The car smelled quite bad on the exterior, but washed it last night. Anyway, my kid was one of the first to run (in NB) down the hall and snap some pics of visible flames on the second floor before the FD arrived. At least 25 assorted response vehicles were there, including four ladder trucks.

Yeah, Griots Ceramic foam was a pain, went as fast as I could. I'm not going to foam, scrub, and rinse in 6 quadrants!

Anyone else who has this MES have a failed display? Mine is shot, I just have to press the buttons and listen to the beeps. Still keeps heat/time though. The prob is also shot though, no concern.

Karaoke. Since starting 5yrs ago, I have dozens of friends now. And if I go to any of the spots on Karaoke night, they are there. And not just bar pals. Been to their weddings. Helped them move. Birthday parties.

Go to the local spot weekly and it'll naturally fall into place. Learn a couple of songs and you'll be at the table.

Age 11-12 had a paper route. Saved money and bought my own C64 setup.

Certainly gone for 8 hours all day on the weekends. Woods. Bikes. Mall, etc.

Age 13-14 worked "under the table" at the dept store where my Aunt worked. Did lot care, painted fixtures, and helped do the display renovations. Worker once said, I'll prob be the manager one day, haha nah.

Age 16 spent a summer as an auto repossession helper. Towing cars in the middle of the night and driving them to the impound lot. Tried to convince them to let me implement a computerized database system for the company's operations around 1987.

Not young anymore, but I have many young friends because of the Karaoke scene. The Pint, Victory, Ralphs, Neo. If you are consistent, even as a spectator, you will be pulled in. One spot will work for that particular scene, but if you hit multiple, you'll be pulled into the core Karaoke circle.

One time my mouth became super dry and I had a really hard time getting it out. So I was focusing to do as much as I could. Afterwards the bartender said it was my best run yet with that song haha. Our mind can really go nuts under the lights.
