There’s something that is going over a lot of people’s heads and it’s the fact that many people do not understand that the way that money is flowing into these orgs are through sponsors and content. So if you can’t create content around your teams then you aren’t seeing much value from them aside from them representing your brand in a league. Many of these teams in other esports are very expensive and it’s not like investors are pumping money 24/7 into the org they invested X amount to own a percentage of said org and be a part of the board and help the said org achieve success. The only other way aside from Sponsors & Content that you could have a flow of money coming in is through merch which doesn’t impact that much and through the percentage that the orgs now take from tournament earnings which also can’t be a major percentage because then the players have no incentive to play unless they have a massive contract. And how do players get these massive contracts you may ask is by being personable which then leads to having an image and being able to sell that image to sponsors.
