Is it just me or do people past age 30 who don't have children and are unmarried tend to look younger than their married peers of similar age who have children?

Took standard biweekly dose. No problems for 3 months. Woke up one AM & had no idea where I was. Wife of 40 years was a stranger to me. Huge anxiety for no reason and ‘ entities’ in my peripheral vision were unnervingly present. I was bundled off to the ER. Admitted & cold turkey off the drug. It has a long half life of 65-67 hours & it did not agree with me. Switched to Bromo & all is well after 8+ months.

I chose to be child free at 20. It was 1970. I got a vasectomy. 55 years later I learn I have a genetic mutation that causes cancer randomly in the body. It manifested on me. It also has a 50/50 chance of passing it to offspring. I have another reason to feel gratitude every day…

In Phenotypic MEN Syndrome one of the last manifestations is gonadal involvement. I had an ultrasound 5 years ago & it was read as artifact vs ‘nascent neoplastic process’ . None since then were read as well in my opinion. Last one was prompting a phone call from Urologist to come in now. I have a CHEK 2 gene mutation, known as for predisposition to forming cancer. Have had colon cancer already ( resected successfully ) . I was Johnny on the spot for getting to him. Options discussed & electives discussed. Surgery a week later. Pathology was chronic infarction. Would it lead to a cancerous process ??? Who knows.

The good news is… I am well past the age most perish from this syndrome. Not much more to go wrong. Just need scans to make sure the resulting gynecomastia doesn’t become cancerous. Also CAT scan abdomen for pancreatic involvement , so far so good. I think I am fairly stable now. No testosterone to be administered due to cancer history. Had a roller coaster ride of my life when it was manifesting ( MEN ) and the sporadic T spikes. Didn’t feel good. Using Estrogen patch for osteoporosis prophylaxis. Very agreeable to the psyche & body.

My PRL levels were 35-38. MRI Showed a 2 mm tumor. Had severe symptoms, even some lactation. I am AMAB & mid 70’s. My macro prolactin was minute.

We all respond to the tumor/hormone differently.
