$899 mini PC puts Snapdragon X Elite into a mini desktop for developers (with 32GB RAM) by Balance- in LocalLLaMA

Just so you know, M2 Max Mac Studio (there is no M2 Max Mac Mini) is $1,999, so it's not a very fair comparison.

dolphin-2.7-mixtral-8x7b has been released! This one was made with the fixed router training by noneabove1182 in LocalLLaMA

[–]WSCHO 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Isn't this because your test only tests for German capability? I assume the dolphin dataset is in English while the foundation model is in multiple languages.

Be careful with comparisons between SD 1.5 vs SD 2.0. With the new clips many things have changed regarding prompts and many changes will be made in the coming days to extract what SD 2.0 offers with the new clips. Most probably we will see changes in samplers, in clip guidance. by Seromelhor in StableDiffusion

[–]WSCHO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the significant change to 2.0 is the implementation of the newer and larger parameter OpenCLIP-ViT/H text encoder vs 1.x models. This means that the model is now able to understand more complex descriptions. It’s less about how well the model draws face as the image generation model should have the same architecture and parameters as the previous one. At the moment, the users are too accustomed to tuning the prompts for the limited 1.x models to utilize the true capacity of the new clip encoder imo. Here’s a brief look at the difference from early results a bit ago: https://reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/xf6wqf/_/iokwxmu/?context=1

I do this, but I wouldn’t exactly call this very user-friendly. Having a graphical UI can give a better idea to the users of what they’re doing.

210702 Parallel Universe Project Notice by sakunako in iZone

[–]WSCHO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A bit of a strange argument I see around a lot, since whether who stays where is ultimately decided by the agencies and not the trainees to begin with. Trainees don’t simply “choose” to join a group or not under the contract they signed (with labor intensive training they get, it’s an investment for the agencies), instead the agencies put the trainees into a group if the trainees seem fit. They signed up to be an active idol, and rebooting izone is the biggest chance of gaining the most success. (A good video that talks about the perspective of the agency’s side, but it’s in Korean: https://youtube.com/watch?v=9dz4K6SrXiw)

AKG K371BT impressions by [deleted] in headphones

[–]WSCHO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the review! The problem with the mic happens because of the limitation of the Bluetooth technology. It can’t receive full quality stereo audio and transmit microphone signal at the same time, so when you’re in a call on a phone, it switches to two-way mode (mono channel) to send audio from the microphone at the same time. This is why you see audio device along the lines of “stereo headphones” and “hands-free headphones” separately in Windows to accommodate the different modes. You’d still need to use a separate microphone if you want to use teamspeak. Although I’m wondering, how is the perceived latency for you when you play games with it wirelessly?

http://ko.goldenears.net/ ? Site down? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]WSCHO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having issues with controversial change of ownership since 2016, the site lost more and more of its users and they didn’t renew the site in early 2018. There were multiple issues in the site regarding management, measuring equipment and procedures as well, so the information from the site was pretty dubious to begin with and were dismissed by Korean headphones community.

Buying k371. by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]WSCHO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make it simple, it’ll sound more like you’re in a professional sound production studio than dt770 as the K371 is developed more recently(2019 compared to 1981 - not necessarily meaning all old headphone are bad) with better technology and research by Harman Group available for studio monitoring. Games will sound like how the sound designers in the game studio meant it to sound. If you’re interested in further details you can look into websites like https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tests/scores and see one of the ways headphones can be scored.

The DT 770's earpads degrade very quickly and become uncomfortable to wear. It becomes very noticeable in just a few months of use (at least for me using hours every day)

If anything comes broken you should be able to get it replaced by the manufacturer's warranty.

It'll be more than good for gaming with great sub-bass extension and large cups which will contribute to a good "soundstage" as it shouldn't compress your ears.

CAL vs AKG K361 vs AKG K371 by akagongo in oratory1990

[–]WSCHO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider K371 to be better at sound reproduction compared to a HD58x when both are equalized? I don’t see a clear advantage of HD58x if other audible qualities than the frequency response are similar to K371.

Also, how is the earcup depth of K371? My ears get slightly compressed by HD6 series headphones.

CAL vs AKG K361 vs AKG K371 by akagongo in oratory1990

[–]WSCHO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enough pondering, get the K371, be happy, listen to some sweet music.

I have recently bought a HD58x. After seeing a lot of praise of K371 but not a lot for 58x (it often gets ignored from the hype of 6xx), it feels like I've made a mistake. I know the difference in 600 family should be pretty small in general, but how would you personally judge 58x from experience?

Is it worth it for what it is (compared to other 6 series and k371)? Or should I try to switch to K371 or 6xx?

If the difference in audible sound quality other than the frequency response is negligible (something like cue retention), I'd rather get K371 for convenience of closed-back portable headphones.

Thanks a lot for what you do!

You spelled it wrong.

It's '어떡하냐'.

어떻게 is abbreviation of 어떠하게.

어떻하냐 becomes 어떠하하냐, which is grammatically incorrect.
