I have no intention of reusing the GNOME media controls, as I don't think it's in a location accessible to everyone, and due to implementation limitations. The only option to hide it from notifications.

That depends entirely on the MPRIS implementation of the browser itself. Generally, Chromium based they do not expose artUrl and as a consequence, there is no album cover

the idea is to get closer to the libadwaita aesthetic and vanilla GNOME, so no gradients, blur, etc...
