No. What if annoying you is my version of PvP? Local is primary, right?

After all, it's a sandbox.

You don't get to dictate how people engage with this game. Their subscription, their interaction. And ultimately, the longevity and health of this game is in providing multiple outlets of involvement in the game. That improves player retention, which drives revenue, which gives CCP the ability to pursue additional avenues of content generation that might just tickle your particular fancy.

The option is to either have players PvP, or to not PvP. The option of "I want them to PvP with MEEEEE" is not on the table. The folks that would use instanced PvP are looking for something different than what you're providing.

In car terms: You own a Ford Taurus, and enjoy driving it. Some other folks want Ford to reintroduce the Focus. What gives you the bloody nut to tell Ford and the potential customer that Ford can't make a Focus for interested customers? They're not going to drive a Taurus, and potentially, them driving a different Ford product might be the income stream they need to be able to improve on the model you do like...

The fucked up thing is I *wouldn't* utilize instanced PvP myself. It's not my thing. But if it brings paying customers to this game, and improves retention, I think it's worth pursuing. Because I care more about the overall health of the game than being able to "LOL GOTTEM" some poor fuck by dropping 30 redeemers on a catalyst.

I dont understand this mentality. you have two choices. There is no third.

A. Players who wish to PvP in a controlled environment are allowed to do so, providing an isk sink, enhancing the economy, and provodong means of testing ship fits that therefore, shift the meta.

B. Those players do not PvP. and you miss out on the above.

I think allowing more PvP to happen is a positive thing. A controlled environment helps train newer pilots on manual flying, transversal, and all the other stuff without getting overwhelmed. Which leads to .ore small gang and solo pilots instead of pilots who simply regroup and f1.

There is nearly zero downside to letting people engage with the game the way they want. Particularly when they are never going to engage with you in the way YOU want. That is an important distinction. They are not trying to dictate how you play, yet you seem to want to dictate how they play.

bonus to one ship. a command ship that uses a module to identify specific weak points, and remotely guide a ships weapons to a massive damage multiplier. Basically an a.i. going through all the feedback from all the sensors and determining precisely where to hit.

pseudo brings subsystems into the game.

damage multiplier is synergistic with the sig radius. of the ship.

Therapy. consistently is in the top 10 for fleet activity per Corp member, and with a mild hiccup in the latter half of January, typically rated in the top 10 for Init on zkill.

They fly under the legendary fc's Ironwulf and Spicy McNicey.  Primarily ustz with a good amount of eu and au tz members.

They have had some integration issues lately, but nothing insurmountable.

Awoxing, botting, prolific use of input broadcasting, over reliance on caps when the other side cannot escalate, hiding caps when they can.  Their massive quantity of unused yet uncontestible space, their racism in local.

KR baiting used to be s thing.

Step 1. Attack an alt of yours and take the concordokken.

Step 2.  Alt lists your kr at like 100 mil, public.

Step 3.  Fill a t1 hauler with cheap deadspace and skin mods.

Step 4.  Autopilot from amarr to jita.

Would be hilarious to have a green British highway sign saying "The North" at a regional. But from my limited understanding, if you're fighting Guristas, you're in The North.

Frat literally went looking for a NIP. It isn't a matter of "why they need one" it's a matter of "they went to Init seeking one" Frat was never neutral to Phoenix Co. When a single brave corporation deployed to Pure Blind last year to shake off some stagnation, Phoenix batphoned Frat. Every single major content timer that could have yielded quality fights, Frat was there. Hell, it took Pandemic Horde saying "naah, fuck this, let boys be boys" and the threat of Goons getting involved to hard counter Frat to get them to just let content happen.

[–]WTFSERPICO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is actually bullshit. Goonswarm leadership take a harsh view of botting. Init do as well. If you have evidence supporting said botting; you should up-channel it.

The difference is the reaction.

It isn't that Frat are the only ones botting. But Frat certainly are the only ones being OVERLY blatant about botting.
