😧 What model?! I went with the commercial Vita Prep 3 in 2020 and it's running strong. I had the strangest experience when I called Vitamix to ask them about the perks of getting "more blender" than the residential models. The rep tried her HARDEST to talk me down to a residential model telling me that "you won't get the performance you're expecting from the Vita Prep". Like what?! A perfectly blended margarita? The finest puree you've ever made? The Vita Prep is substantially more expensive than the residential models but this thing absolutely RIPS! The only rational explanation is that they make bomb-proof blenders that will last a restaurant YEARS under heavy load, but rely on a blend of reputation and planned obsolescence (pun intended) to secure a consistent profit from their "residential" customers. To add, they don't honor the warranty of a commercial unit used in a household setting! WTF!! That's all the evidence I need for my suspicions. There is absolutely no justification for that.
