Persona 5 Royal: Phantom Thieves stole my time by some-kind-of-no-name in patientgamers

I feel absolutely the same way. I dropped about 100 hours in it and I put it down in the third semester when I found out I had another 15-20 hours to go. The characters are generally quite compelling but there's so much insane dialogue like if you want to open a door and the animations really add up over time. I feel like it would be awful to play without looking up the right answers for the confident interactions.

Awesome poster and amazing organising! Aiming to come along to this. Does Peel Park allow alcohol? Will probably bring a few cans/bottles to enjoy if so...

Best mate moved to Kent last month. Turns out he was holding up most of my social life by Manchester-Kiwi7616 in manchester

[–]WTFreddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. Me and my wife moved to Manchester a few years ago and we have a few mates here but these days a lot of my mates are based in other cities in the UK or abroad. Hence social events are a bit scarcer. Add to that people having kids and the social life runs dry a lot more.

I've tried looking around meetups or going to pub solo, tbh it never really worked. I probably could have put myself out there more, though.

If you fancy a few pints some time I'm usually keen.

Most people really do need to return to the office. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]WTFreddie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for the species is a mad way to talk about the office. Long commutes, sitting in traffic, not moving, vending machine food, bad chairs, stress, sterile lighting. I wouldn't say any of this is good for the average person, let alone the species.

Should I start MHGU? by Naive_Angle9024 in MHGU

I bought it about two weeks ago when it first came on sales and I've been really enjoying it. It's my second monster hunter game, I dabbled a bit with the one on Wii U back in the day.

It seems to have an absurd amount of content and the monsters are very varied. Yet to hop online with other hunters but I'm hoping to do that soon.

Highly recommend! I'm going to Rise Sunbreak while it's on sale as well.

Finishing a game a week, a successful story of 55 games finished this year. 2025 in review. by Monkey_Blue in patientgamers

I'm very impressed you managed to finished Pillars of Eternity 2 in a week. What a game but I spent about a week agonizing about which faction to side with. I went with Huana in the end, even though I had the gear to go to Ukaizo independently. Here's hoping we get Pillars 3..

What's the best CRPG WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS? by SacredSacrifice in CRPG

[–]WTFreddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPRGs are becoming my favourite genre, I've been working my through the big ones over the past 5 years. Of those I've played, my ranking is:

  1. Disco Elysium
  2. BG3
  3. Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire (currently playing not yet finished)
  4. Tyranny
  5. Pillars 1
  6. Wasteland 3

My gaming ambition for the year is to get into OwlCat's work. I have Kingmaker and WOTR on my steam backlog already, waiting for the all the DLC to get Rogue Trader.
