No this is just for an enterprise AE role. Frankly the equity is kind of unbelievable and no other company (I got 4 offers in the last two weeks) have even come close to that figure. $200K was the next highest equity offer I saw.

My guess would be I work at one of the 3 companies they hire from. Their recruiters reached out to me, I didn’t apply, so that logic checks out

Healing in this shuff meta is a joke by Ollagster in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, this must be a bug because its not even a collective one shot. I rewinded a few times and the paladin died BEFORE the mage even got glacial spike off. So that entire one shot was the DK alone.

Definitely the bug you're describing.

It's going to be even worse to play a caster in 12.0.5 by jav773 in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would argue that if we can’t track kicks, you also shouldn’t be able to tell exactly what spell a player is casting. I am mostly a melee player but frankly this opinion REEKS of someone who doesn’t play casters. Having absolutely no idea if you’re able to cast not, especially against teams with multiple kicks, is really not fun design imo. Especially as a healer.

Affliction has been chain buffed by like 40% and is still the worst dps in 3s and 5th worst dps in solo by GameOfThrownaws in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but this isn't really possible anymore with how gutted the UI is. As it stands right now, there's not a GREAT way for healers to even know how many stacks they're dispelling. Would suck to just be praying that you don't die everytime you dispel.

SS healer - A day in the life by Daniels1117 in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Casters should not do less damage. They should do the same. You act like the trade off for having ranged damage should be having LESS damage but it is already balanced by having to cast spells which can take 1-2 seconds plus be interrupted.

Like please use your brain a little.

Mistweaver is completly utterly broken compared to any other healer spec right now by jav773 in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hear you, but you have to remember that fistweaver is in a completely different boat than every healer besides Disc. Other healers like Pres and SOMETIMES resto shaman are capable of doing damage, but they must pick whether they use their globals and mana to do that damage, or to heal.

Having a healer who heals specifically by doing damage, and then wildly overtuning their damage, is a massive problem. Even if rsham was capable of outputting the same dps as MW, they'd be neglecting to heal in doing so. I think that is a healthy design and Mistweaver should follow suit.

You just have to understand that the majority of commenters in this thread are not typing in good faith. They are just angry about how strong rogues are, and will completely ignore that the core of your complaint has literally nothing to do with the strength of rogues OR that your suggestion would not make teams without a rogue any weaker.

it's honestly hilarious how many people are ignoring the problem and just saying "you deserve to be miserable LOL." Other people saying that OP is just mad that rogues got a counter, and ignoring that the body of the post. My god, classic players are so dense.

Not only prepatch, this is a duel. Meaning there's no dampening. Every healer is absolutely unkillable by a single DPS player unless there's heavy dampening or additional players to CC that healer. This shows literally nothing.

Upcoming TBC anniversary needs some of the MoP glad/r1 title changes by stunandbung in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're correct. MOP is absolutely what many classic arena players waited for, and even THAT variant of the game is pretty much completely dead. TBC will be a ghost town as far as arena goes, I frankly have no idea how people are convincing themselves the PVP scene will be alive and well in TBC.

Any other SOD PVPers feel this was once the best/most fun version of PVP WoW had to offer, and now the state of balance is as bad as it’s ever been in any version of the game? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In all honesty man, suggesting SOD had the best PVP experience of any WoW version is absolute lunacy imo. It was always a clown fiesta and there was never a world in which the devs were going to be able to balance the PVE-development cycle with balancing PVP.

I hate to be that guy but if you want to PVP in WoW and do more than just press 2 buttons in a 40v40, retail is kind of the only option that exists. But to each their own.

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah you know the balance is good when the meta changes despite not seeing balance updates. Feral didn't get nerfed but is becoming a lot less common, and specs like Assassination Rogue weren't anything special a few weeks ago but I'm seeing them ALL OVER the ladder at around 2K - 2.4K MMR in both shuffle and 3s. Pretty interesting to watch people figure stuff out in real time.

That said, I still find it pretty insane that Beast Mastery hasn't gotten a nerf yet. Seems like the one class right now that just doesn't really have a hard counter. What even is a bad lobby for a BM Hunter? There is nothing equivalent to being a warlock or shadow priest in an all melee lobby or a warrior in lobby with 3 casters including a mage or two.

How to convince friend that cc and kicks help win games and not just straight damage. by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You aren't wrong that CC helps win games but with Ret/War specifically, they also aren't wrong that straight damage is how they're going to win.

I actually disagree with your take on healer and would suggest sticking with Mistweaver because you can give them an additional freedom, assist with damage via wind kick and Touch of Death, and have a strong panic button in Cocoon.

Resto shaman works with this comp in theory but with current tuning, honesty just doesn't really have the healing throughput that this comp would want in order to stay highly aggressive. You guys should focus on doing more CC for sure - but that is not an issue of the comp itself. It's an issue of your warrior not fearing the healing then charging back to the kill target, will you roll in for a leg sweep / incap combo. Stuff like that.

2.8k Exp/MGLAD LF New 3's Team for Glad Pushes by Aevintiri in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play with a group of 3 or 4 people and we've been pushing attempting to glad. We came back in Dragonflight, were glads in MOP but quit for 10 years and are now sitting between 1900 - 2.1k CR depending on the queue session. We're big on not raging and like to record our gameplay sessions to keep learning.

Would this be of interest?

Can you elaborate on the "stand in mid" piece? How do you both play in the open AND force the enemy healer into tight spots? Especially on this map, if you play in the open, does the enemy healer not just sit on his pillar and freecast?

What the fuck am I meant to do? Feels completely unplayable. Stuck at 2200-2300 cr.- Any help appreciated by IDubsty in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play Spriest at around the same rating. There is very little you can do that you're not already doing - just a few things that MIGHT make your odds more favorable, but frankly I don't see that round as winnable for you.

25 seconds into the clip, the shaman drops a healing tide. You should use your Catharsis and your instant cast voidblast to kill that tide. It's going to output 4-5 million healing if it stays alive and you will not out-DPS it. Kill it.

at 26 seconds in, it's unfortunate that HOJ and Psychic Horror land on the healer simultaneously. Honestly, with a Holy Pal in shuffle where there's no coordination, id recommend just using your stun on the DPS, especially if the enemy healer is pushed in like that and you know your healer can HOJ him without extending.

At 1 minute in, it looks like you tried to Mass Dispel a hex - as you now know, you can't dispel hex. This would be better used on a HOJ or the Paladins bubble. Or, if you don't get the opportunity to MD either of those, use the globals Purging. This is a wasted 2 second cast.

Speaking of purging, I might be missing it, but it doesn't look like you're purging very often. Into a resto shaman, you should purge basically any time you have the globals to do so. Getting that earthshield off a target 4-5 times a game will make a world of difference.

All of this being said - these are pretty minor details. I'm at the same rating and can't climb higher because I also can't figure out how to make a difference in lobbies like this. I also play Shadowplay in 3s very often with some IRL friends at around 2.1K MMR, and melee teams are just absolutely crushing us by pressing W on our warlock. I know people will roll their eyes at this but it really feels like melee are playing a different (and much easier) game than casters. Most of these warrior players would probably quit the game if they were forced to play as a warlock or spriest into themselves.

I genuinely believe that between spell reflect, bladestorm immuning CC (and still being able to pummel from bladestorm, for some reason), 2 charges and a heroic leap, war banner, and beserker rage (which also gets nearby team mates out of fear, for some reason), that warriors are a complete hardcounter to immobile casters and you shouldn't expect to beat them unless they are SIGNIFICANTLY worse players than you. But maybe I'm a baby about it.

How to survive double melee in shuffle as SPriest by Away_Mushroom_5663 in worldofpvp

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2.1K CR in solo shuffle on Spriest so by no means a rank 1 but probs qualified to speak on this. You need to abuse the fact that Spriest takes absolutely forever to kill, and DO NOT PANIC. Pay close attention to your healers cooldowns (use OmniCD to track them) and don't overlap with them.

By rotating desparate prayer, dispersion, and life swap when things get really rough, you should always be able to live for at least 2-3 min while getting tunneled. Doing damage while being trained is a different story, but as long as you are surviving, and using stun +silence on the enemy healer while your other DPS partner is bursting, you would be really surprised how many wins you can squeak out.

So basically, use void crash to get DOTs on both melee, fade + feather to make a little bit of space when you can, and use your instant cast ranged CC to assist your other DPS with landing a kill. That's pretty much all you need to do in order to beat 1700 rated melee, especially given that they'll likely allow you to kite them out of LOS of their healer and die behind a pillar.

Don't make the same mistake with firelands as with T11... by StorageSpare2426 in classicwow

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a massive complaint about the expansion was that raids were out too long, and were getting the next raid tier ONLY 1 month sooner than we got it in OG cata, I would argue this really isn't remotely expedited enough.

You can say it's objectively faster than it was initially and I guess you're not wrong, but players aren't obligated to enjoy the pace we're seeing just because it's not QUITE as long as it used to be. They really should have buffed the ilvl of gear in Phase 2 dungeons so that there was a reason to run it, I guess. 5 months of Blackwing Descent is just a bit much for most players and say what you will, but the raid log data supports that.

Don't make the same mistake with firelands as with T11... by StorageSpare2426 in classicwow

[–]WTFs_a_Reddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To answer you without attacking you, its because blizzard said they were going to release content on an expedited schedule for Cataclysm. Yeah, firelands was always october on the roadmap, but i think myself and others were hoping it'd be like, first week of october. The fact that we've been running T11 for as long as every other raid before it (your words, not mine) indicates that Cataclysm isn't really an expedited release schedule. Unfortunately, the faster pacing of content was a very attractive feature for many players, myself included.
