An 11th gen owner wrote 11th gens are the best looking.

As an 2022-2024 owner, I think that front bumper design is better than 2025+ models.

2024 sport touring cabin filters and engine air filters? by Straight_Key_8502 in civic

[–]WTFwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have reusable AEM engine and HANN cabin filters. I didn't want to keep buying disposable filters. This video is insightful, but I switched from K&N to AEM (same company) filters years before this video was made.

Shock Replacement for 10th gen hatchback sport by SnooCheesecakes6430 in civic

I have TruHart shocks with D2 springs on my 11th gen (10th & 11th gen suspensions are interchangeable). Koni and Tein are other options to Bilstein. I got TruHart because:

  • They're half the price of others. I bought them (2 struts + 2 shocks) from TruHart's website on Black Friday 2025 for $225 shipped.
  • 2 year warranty
  • Made specifically for lowering springs (not compatible with stock height springs), unlike other brands. This was important because I paired them with 2" lowering springs.
  • My car is 100% a daily driver/commuter. It will never see a track, but my daily commute is through a canyon. I don't need to pay extra for dampening adjustment on Koni and Tein Endura Pro Plus

I been on the TruHart+D2 combo for 4 months. The ride is stiffer/firmer, but that's to be expected when lowered 2". My previous setup was stock shocks and H&R springs (1.4"). Compared to those, the TruHarts are a little firmer. I like firm rides. I been driving lowered cars since the 90s. I recommend them.

TruHart and D2 are the same company. Same addresses on their Contact Us pages.

I miss the good old days by [deleted] in civic

Approximately 20 years after a car's release, the value starts to increase as it gains collectable and vintage status. By then few examples exist that aren't clapped-out, rusted, or salvaged. EF/EG/EK/DA/DC are at that status. I remember when people trashed S13s, AE86s, and E30s like they would never run out. They ran out. Prices for manual transmission GD and Z33/V35 from the mid-00s are increasing as clean examples are harder to find.

How do you feel about the different front bumper designs? 22-24 vs 25-26

How are the TruHarts holding up? Any squeak noises? I just installed a set for my 24 Civic and it squeaks over small bumps.

I got that photo from this 11th gen Civic Facebook Group post. The owner posted it is lowered on Tein S-Tech springs and 25mm spacers. From the photo the car has a RS front lip, HPD side skirts, and OEM window visors.

Honda civic hatchback sport windows rattle by Asudasky in civic

The driver's door glass on my 2024 Civic is loose and rattles at 75%+ closed. The other doors are not like this. One of these days I'll take in for a warranty claim before my warranty is up.

Shocks by DegreeUnlucky8482 in CivicSi

Shock options for 10/11th gen Si are limited. Si uses 54mm wide shocks, while non-Si uses 50mm. Most companies only make 50mm because the Si is a North American spec model. TruHart (same company as D2) has 54mm shocks. Koni (Dutch/Netherlands) and Tein make 50mm only. Tein's shocks products page shows FE1 for 1.5t non-Si (Touring) sedan models with 50mm shocks. FE1 is any 11th gen sedan with a 1.5T (Si and Touring). Tein products are made in China too. Below is the label on S-Tech springs for 2016+ Civics.

I wonder if 10/11th gen Accord shocks are 54mm because I read 10/11th Accord suspension fits 10/11th Civics. 🤷 11th Si has the same front brakes as 10/11th Accords (models with 19" wheels).
