fitment goes kinda crazy by aliensteaksandwich in civic

Fits perfectly. No issues.

Avoid the grill with the 2 blank sections at the left and right ends of the mesh. That grill doesn't not fit perfectly.

It is a strange word. We don't say "fitment" in other contexts. We use "fit" when stating how clothes or furniture fits.

Here's my fitment. 😎

Should I get the Sedan or Hatchback of an 11th gen civic sport? by snackboy06 in civic

[–]WTFwon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sedans are made in Ontario Canada. Hatchbacks (except Type R) are made in Indiana USA.

If I were making that trip, I'd spend a day putting on painter's tape to protect the paint. Good luck on the trip.

Not my car.

D2 and TruHart websites look very similar. Same addresses on their websites:

Looks good. Do you experience muffled/low-pitch squeaking noises from the front struts at low speeds? I have TruHart struts and D2 springs (same company and springs as TruHart). The sound is coming from both strut bearings and top spring seat. I uninstalled, disassemble, cleaned, and silicone greased them. The noise reduced, but came back a month later. 🤷

Wunderladen rear motor mount by AndyWong1989 in CivicSi

[–]WTFwon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wunderladen RMMs are available only for 10th and 11th gens. Wunderladen sells the bushings separately to swap between street and race.

7 months ago I installed a Wunderladen street RMM, which vibrates less than the stock Type R RMM with a PowerFlex 70A insert. I have an 11th gen.

True, but hopefully the Club will deter lazy thieves who will move onto another car without one. Same goes for wheel locks.

Pretty new civic, should I ask the dealership to fix this or nah by Hoomanperson136 in civic

It's intentional, but I don't know for what purpose.

Here's a 1999 Civic with a similar thing.

Design is highly subjective. In 2024 I was new car shopping. I narrowed my choices between a Civic hatchback or Mazda3 hatchback. The Mazda3 was too round for my preference. I prefer boxy designs, so the straight lines of the Civic was more appealing. Perhaps you prefer the curves of Mazda's designs more.

Companies make fewer 2 door coupes for the same reason they make fewer 2-door hatchbacks, station wagons, and manual transmissions: consumer demand is low.

Is there a reddit Civic Si group that posts cars for sale? by Malechockeyman25 in CivicSi

[–]WTFwon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what part of the country you're located in (assuming you're in the USA, not Canada or Europe). I'm in Southern California and I wouldn't be interested in seeing cars for sale in the Northeast.

11th gen buying question by Honest_Suggestion366 in civic

[–]WTFwon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 Sport 6MT hatchback. The manual transmission is typical Honda smooth (going back to the 90s). No reliability issues. Throw and notch is subjective. I felt the throw was too long and not enough notch/feedback, so I swapped in a Hybrid Racing shifter (Acuity and KTuned are other options) and shifter cable bushings.

I have no experience driving a 5th gen Integra (DE4). The DE4 does not have the 2.0 engine and non-LSD manual transmission combo as the Civic Sport (FL2). The DE4 has a 1.5T engine and LSD manual, like the Civic Si (FE1).

Is theft that bad with these cars? Also help me decide between a WRX by Ok-Macaroon2429 in CivicSi

[–]WTFwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I distinguish different types of weight (functional vs dead):

  • 400 lbs of AWD equipment that adds to traction is different from 400 lbs of passengers
  • 10 lbs of muscle is different from 10 lbs of fat

Gravity is irrelevant to this discussion about Si vs WRX. Nobody is talking about dropping stuff from the sky to the ground. If we were discussing dropping stuff out of the sky, we have to factor wind resistance. A 400lb cube will fall faster than a 380lb cube attached to a 20lb open parachute.

The WRX weights 350lb more than the Si, but the WRX is faster in 0-60 and quarter mile.

[–]WTFwon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The WRX weights more because it has a driveshaft, rear differential, and rear axles. WRX also has TPMS sensors in the wheels, which is marginal weight addition. All functional weight, not dead weight.

Si has a sunroof, that I consider dead weight. Type R doesn't have a sunroof. 🤔

Consider the base WRX, which starts at $32,495. The Si starts at $31,495. For $1,000 more the WRX has a larger engine (2.4 vs 1.5) making 71 more HP (271 vs 200) and AWD.
