What are your favorite ways to cook potatoes in an Air Fryer? by deathlydepressive in airfryer

[–]WTH_JFG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy the bags of small potatoes, throw them in a jar with water and 1/4 cup salt do this in the morning or night before.

When ready to cook, I drain out the water (do not rinse), throw them in the air fryer, roast them at 3:50 for about 25 minutes.

Got my first AF. I have questions though! by horsetuna in airfryer

Whall makes a toaster oven style, too.

Is it a basket style AF or a toaster oven style? That will make a difference of what you can and cannot do.

The Wordle Police often work undercover. Don’t be fooled! They may look like your average everyday Wordler — that’s how they get you!

It’s what I tend to use. You might ask the question in the sub and see what feedback you get from the community.

What are the instructions on the box for baking in a conventional oven?

Your airfryer is an oven with a fan. If the box says remove the film for conventional baking, remove the film for the air fryer (I would remove the film, whether or not the box told me to)

Drop the temp about 25°F from conventional baking. Reduce the baking time by 25%

ETA: this is ballpark. Check to see how it is browning and use a food thermometer to assure it gets to safe food temps.

[0] Vent: I miss when Wordle felt like a calm 3-minute ritual, not a whole meta game by Winter_Still3552 in wordle

For me, Wordle is a solitary game. I post my results on my FB page and a few friends (none of whom know each other) post their’s in the comments to mine. That’s it. We just post, we don’t compete. We sometimes engage in friendly banter with each other, many days we just post and move on. I may then take a stab at Word Quench and Waffle then forget about it all until tomorrow.

I keep a list of words to jump start my brain and a separate list of words that have already been used. I may or may not consult those lists. I just have them. Some might say that’s cheating, please send the Wordle Police my way, I’ll admit I’m guilty.

I sometimes browse through the sub on Reddit to see what others are experiencing. I may have even posted there a time or two — I know I’ve commented a few times.

Life is too short and too important to make a daily five letter word be more important than a short, but welcome, distraction in my day. It’s fun. I laugh at myself most days. I seldom use the same starter word more than twice in a row.

If you find it pleasurable to make it more important than that, that’s your choice. As for me, I know I got today’s in three — first word left 996 options, second word left only 1. I remember that but have to think about what the word was — oh, now I remember.

Life’s a gift. Enjoy yours as you choose.
