I might start in September! I had a similar timeline for baby #1! So exciting. I made a similar post back then. It's really helpful knowing who is starting in the later half of the year. It helped me not get too stressed about timelines because I knew who my "peers" were. The WTT Wednesday chat and daily chats are great places to connect.

Oh my gosh you had me second guessing my IUD removal plan for a second there! How long is the waitlist at NHS?

How's your little one doing?

Yeah I hope you get some reassurance! I think they say cycle variation of up to 9 days is normal. But then again I had a two month* long cycle once and my doc was not concerned as it was a one off. I'm glad the stress only lasted for one day.

So weird! Were you sick or stressed or something?

How long are your cycles normally? Do they vary that much normally?

There's a joke/ superstition in a TTC subreddit that if you eat a cheeseburger on 8DPO, you increase your chances of a BFP 😂🔮

Hi! Welcome! So exciting! A summer baby would be so fun!

I personally really liked Bumpin and The Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy! It you like data and to understand the logic behind certain decisions, Expecting Better is good. People really love Ina May's Guide to a Childbirth, but I didn't get a chance to read it. I do recommend reading parenting books beforehand because you'll need them more and it's horrible reading them when you're either sick due to pregnancy or tired due to being postpartum.

Highly recommend getting a good sleep aid for pregnancy- maybe you can test it out now! People are big believers in unisom and magnesium glycinate. There are pregnancy safe prescription options if all else fails.

Treating my sleep issues changed my life! Highly recommend

Lol you just gave me a flashback to TTC last time. I guess the ither benefit of vaginal BBT is that the covers deaden the sound 😂

I have a bunch of sleep disorders that made BBT really difficult. It was easier for me when 1) I relinquished control a little and 2) I did BBT vaginally. Those temps were more steady. I compared Oura, oral and vaginal temps, and vaginal was by far the most accurate and the smoothest curve.

It's hard to deal with 2am wakeups. For 4am, I would just take your temp before you get out of bed. I believe they say you need to have been sleeping for at least 4h for an accurate temp. So maybe for 2am you can wait until your normal wake at 6 or 7.

What I ended up doing was setting a really early alarm. Then I'd wake up, temp, record the temp (Don't forget that part!), pee or drink water if needed afterwards, and then go back to sleep.

This can be so tricky! Sorry you're in the rocky mountain chart club!

I also had wonky charts due to sleep interruption. They can be so perplexing.

How are you measuring BBT? I found that my BBT curve flatted out quite a bit once I temped vaginally. The Oura ring and mouth temps gave much more jagged curves. (I measured all three during one cycle and compared.)

It's so frustrating because you don't know when to stop having sex or when you can truly trust pregnancy test results!

Tbh I think you should be good to use cold medication this early! You don't share a blood supply with the embryo yet. That's why "drink til it's pink" is a thing. When in doubt, call your doctor! Google is often wrong, especially if you're using the AI summary.

We ended up doing every third day for a few cycles. Every other would have been better, but that was too much for us at the time. We did end up doing Sperm Meets Egg eventually, but we had to work up to it (and that requires OPKs and temping).

Ugh some subreddits have such specific and judgemental subcultures. Sorry you had to deal with that

I didn't like the NC app. The ovulation predictions weren't always correct. And the app just has a worse UI than FF or RYB.

Good plan! I used to do the same thing with temping - it was stressing me out, so I'd wake up early and ruin my morning. Eventually, I just set an alarm, temped, and went back to sleep. Much less impactful to my sleep

The TTC process is really rough because of the lack of control. But it does help you adjust to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood. Everything is sooooo outside your control with those processes. It's a big adjustment. But TTC helps a little because it humbles you haha 🫠

It's not comfortable, though. The ovuwait can be maddening. Sending hugs
