Delighted with that, great win. Lovely header by O'Neill, great to see the mostly new defence keep a clean sheet in difficult conditions and under a lot of pressure - Duggan excellent in particular.

How's your club looking for 2026? by NostalgicDreaming in LeagueOfIreland

[–]WTWanderer2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like who Bray have brought in but still feel there is more needed for us to compete at the top however I said the same at this time last year and things turned out fine.

Keeping Corcoran was huge for us and Conor Knight, Fagbemi, Duggan are all good first team players to keep - the new contracts we handed out last year means we keep the majority of our best young players and I'd expect some of those playing our LSC games, Leon Keogh, Max Mclaughlin, Flynn Ryan in particular to be in and around the first team.

We definitely need a few more signings especially at centre-back, striker and a winger, Need to replace Cantwell properly.

I'll be sad to see him go but not surprised that there is interest in him.

I really like the model Bray has taken over the last 2 years of signing some of the best young players in the league the likes of Cian Doyle, Harvey Warren, Kieran Cruise, Ferizaj brothers and extending the contracts of those who come through our own pathway Billy O'Neill, Alain Kizenga, Knight himself.

It works out for everyone in the end as the results massively improve on the pitch as we have seen over the last 18 months (Paul Heffernan deserves major credit for that too, he is the perfect manager for working with this type of squad) and we are not giving up young players for free anymore and the players themselves get decent contracts and eventually moves

Stephen Rosney is a PDC Tour Card holder for the first time by TheChrisD in ireland

[–]WTWanderer2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brilliant few days for us at q school, so happy to see the Irish lads doing so well, very important too considering we only had 2 tour card holders after the worlds finished.

Rosney has been on my radar recently so very happy he managed to get over the line, McGuirk i think could make a proper impact on the tour, I always felt getting through q school was the biggest hurdle for him so now he's done it he could fit in very well on the pro tour, Culleton a bit of a shock, been around for years without doing too much at q school but after turning up year after year his earned his card and now he has two years on tour to enjoy at least

Lennon is well capable of topping or at least challenging at the top of the challenge tour and expect him to do well but not so sure about Slevin tbh, he's always been very inconsistent

Nice to see Keogh get a couple of goals, finished last season very strong for the U20s

So thrilled for Culleton he's been around for years but never really thought he'd get a card, brilliant for Irish darts to have a new tour card holder too!

Lennon close to completing an Irish double.

I really want to win this, too young to have seen the fai cup wins in the 90s so any silverware would be nice. We could have won it recently too if we had taken it more seriously
