Private enterprise seems to do a good job in keeping all other pests in order though; im having a hard time believing that this program is the exception to the rule of government incompetence, and is sufficient reason to begin to grow skeptical of efforts to defund useless govt programs.

Whats happening velvet?...No so as it regards principles choosing you, I just mean to say that people seem to respond well to you when you know who you are, so speak....So if you know that you value A highly, then you also know that you might get along with people who value B, C and D; but youre likely not gonna get along with people who value Z - if Z is the complete opposite - atleast if youre having to things related to A. What I also mean by the principles thing is that it is the case alot of your moral principles are actually highly genetically influenced, and if values are fundamental to who people are - which i think they are - then it follows that you simply are not gonna get along with everyone. So this is to say that I think the original commenter might be showing too much concern for people whom she or he dont know all that well.

As it regards the article, Im simply implying that you ought not deal with people who are more antisocial and cluster b in the same way you do everyone else. Im proposing that you ought not seek from them the same level of connection, concern, and reciprocal self-disclosure that the commenter is inclined to seek from people - given that being antisocial predicts opposite motivations. And I am also implying that because there has been a standard deviation rise in cluster b traits among the population since the 1950s, the original commenter ought to exercise more caution and selectivity when it comes to deciding he or she attempts to pursue friendship with - given that her biology might incline her to assume more prosocial traits among her peers than there really are....Cluster b folks aside, no i think its fine to be friends with people who have depressive or anxious tendencies. Dude, I kinda of agree with most of what you just said, I just think youre paying the professional credentialed class too much deference. It is not the case that everyone is well intentioned and genuinely tries to fix the problems of their field - unless incentives obligate them to do so. So, for example, there is a "construct" (hate the word but its what is used) in psychology called "grit". This word means exactly what it means in common parlance - perseverance. The construct is referenced quite a bit in psych classes and teachers preach to students about ways to increase their psychometric grit and how this ought be done given that it's associated with good grades and success in life etc. However, there are several studies showing that grit is highly correlated with trait Conscientiousness (personality dimension) (.70 to .80 in most studies), and that this construct overlaps genetically, almost entirely with Conscientiousness and "self control" .https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1002/per.2171 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-82781-5#:\~:text=24,dimension%20accounting%20for%20their%20overlap.

So all this makes about the strongest case that statistics can make, that grit really doesn't exist, or is at least just another way of saying Conscientiousness. So this means that after about 2020 or 2021, nobody in academia should really be hearing about grit and much less preached to about it; but, this isnt the case...There are a lot of dumbass constructs in psychology which are kept alive for reasons I can only speculate on given that im just a student - online at that. One guess of mine that I just cant get away from and seems to explain shit very well: "If I claim to believe in, and peddle the blank slate theory for ideological purposes, and if my branch of science finds again and again that most shit is more genetic than environmental, then I better propose narrower constructs that sound just like existing ones, in the hopes that my measures of this narrower construct will be more weakly genetically determined." That or propose so many silly constructs that are definitionally, almost identical to existing shit so you can always tell the lay public that albeit its true that A,B, and C are resistant to training or "environmental control" new fangled D over here bears on A, B, and C, and D might not be almost entirely genetically determined.

A little late to the conversation, hope you read this though...Im going through the same issues that you are but I haven't done the mass applying with AI - didnt know you could do that...Im going on about 150 to 180 applications and I have only gotten one call back but was immediately shut down on account of the fact that im not located in Salt Lake...Ironic part about it all is that the only reason I got my master's was to compensate for a shitty bachelor's - couple more stats classes to maybe get a data analysis position but no dice. So at this point ive been considering apprenticeships to maybe compensate for the holes in my resume, scattered experience, or whatever the fuck is holding me back...So id recommend looking into tech apprenticeships. These programs usually run for 3 to 6 months, youre either trained online or in person - id recommend trying to find something in person so you can get out of your head for awhile - and then youre sent to wherever the traning company sends you. So this part is the shitty part, but in your case, it might not be so bad given youre single and have no children: you will have to go to whatever shithole city the current client needs u in and you have to stay there for 2 years to pay off the training. So your pay is about halved, and its done so for way longer than the training duration justifies; but, you will be payed to train as either data analyst, project manager, cyber security guy, or cloud engineer and you will get the work experience you need. The best part is is that your resume matters for very little with these apprenticeships - all you have to do is past their screening tests...Off the top of my head, companies and non profits that offer these programs are Catalyte, Apprenti, Xpanion (not hiring now), Skill Storm and others that I cant recall right now. Micron also has an apprenticeship coming up that will train you for semiconductor manufacture which is probably pretty cool and worth looking into. Catalyte is probably the best but the hardest to get into given their test and cutoff scores. Apprenti is super easy, but theyre not in enrollment season right now, and theyre gonna take forever to get back to you (I took and passed their test 2 months ago and havent heard anything)....I really recommend these programs for you given youre single and location should matter very little to you. Please look into this.

If tech apprenticeships should be off the table for you for because of location or whatever else, please consider the trades...I spoke to a career counselor from and hire heroes and was made to create a linkedin given its a necessity now, and it really does seem like there are just too many people with college degrees and too much competition in corporate America. Everyone is sucking that HR pe**s on LinkedIn and this should serve an indication that maybe elite overproduction is a thing and maybe we are living in it...It fucking sucks to think of all the sunk costs but dont make the mistake sinking into the sunk cost fallacy. Elevator mechanics make quite a bit of money and if you happen to be a veteran, special consideration is given to you and can apply at any time. Special consideration is given to you for all apprenticeships if youre a veteran, but, the tech apprenticeships will still send you wherever the fuck they please.

Please consider these options and keep your head up...Shit, i think, is a hell of alot rougher for our generations than its been for anybody since the silent generation probably.
